Does this happen to you?

Hello everybody, I am wondering if this happens to you... My flare lasted around three weeks and has subsided over the last four days to the point that yesterday I felt good. I woke up this morning and apart from feeling a little achey and dizzy I was OK. I put the aches down to packing for our move on Monday and the dizziness down to insomnia. I was doing fine until bang! Out of the blue this afternoon I experienced hip pains then what felt like a bee sting on the top of my foot! Im currently experiencing the usual stabbing pains and a headache. I feel so out of control! I've so much to do by Monday when I move and my partner is having to do everything. She is very supportive however I know all the extra work is taking its toll on her and I feel guilty too. Does anyone else experience the bee sting type pain?

I still do sometimes, but for the most part it's not very bad. I use to describe them as fire ants all over. I take lyrica I forget generic name. I also take Cymbalta again I for get generic name. Those two combined has brought that pain level down to just a tingling feeling. I hope you find relief. Have you been checked for diabetic neuropathy?

Thanks for your response. No I haven't been checked for diabetic neuropathy.

You might ask doctor to check you. Sounds like what I use to get all the time!

Was your bee sting type pain related or unrelated to fibromyalgia?

Neuropathy

I am so genuinely sorry to read this, and although I have experienced this myself it was not because of my Fibro, as it was put down to a different medical condition. I would discuss what happened with your doctor just to have any other medical condition ruled out of the equation. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Thanks Ken, I'm moving house and county tomorrow which means a new Gp... I just hope that the new doctor is on the ball. What was your bee sting type pain put down to?

My consultant and physiotherapy both said it was due to a compressed sciatic nerve. I had an MRI of the region, and although I had physio for this and still do the exercises it hasn't really helped much.

I want to gneuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your move.

All my hopes and dreams for you
