Fibromyalgia face ache

I had this for about six months and found eating very painful so was basically living off soups. There wasn't a part of my body that didn't hurt, I'd put weight on and just felt really fed up with everything, fed up of visiting the doctors with ongoing pain and new areas of pain. I found a link on my FB and followed it up. It's not for everyone but it has helped me. Don't get me wrong I still have days of suffering but it has made a difference to my weight and also less of staying in bed. i now work part time from home as opposed to not being able to work at all. Feel free to look me up on FB. Liane Ruth Harvey 😀

Hi Lee6152

Just a thought about your face hurting. If you mean your jaw and cheek bones are very painful it might be worth checking it out with your dentist. I had this problem several years ago and when I told my dentist he said he thought I was grinding my teeth (bruxism). He said he would make a mouth guard for me which should help with the pain. I thought what a load of rubbish but when he said I could have the guard for free if it didn't work, I realised he was serious so I agreed.

It didn't take long before I realised he was right, it really did stop the aches and pains. Next time I went to back to see him I felt obliged to apologise because I had been so scathing when he suggested it. He was very kind and accepted the apology with good grace. I wear the guard every night to this day and it makes a big difference. If you ask your dentist they should be able to tell from the shape and condition of your teeth, coupled with your symptoms if you are grinding your teeth.

Of course it may not be your problem but it might be worth checking out at least.

Gentle hugs

Margaret. :)

Hi Margaret. Unfortunately I have already been down that road and tried a mouth guard but it didn't work. Also been to see a specialist in hospital I was told it was tempura Mandular problem apparently can be fibromyalgia related.

Oh ok, it was just a thought as many people don't realise that they are grinding their teeth.

I don't get the pain I used to but I have always had, and still do, a very clicky jaw. Sometimes it sounds like a gun going off in my head. Sorry it wasn't that simple for you.

That looks very interesting, but sadly I am allergic to red fruits, bananas and a myriad of other food stuffs so it probably wouldn't be much good for me. I want to genuinely wish you continued success with this.

All my hopes and dreams for you
