Hi seren,

For me the answer is definitely yes, not always all over, but in various places and it drives me nuts. I believe from what my GP has said its all to do with the nerve endings. Sometimes I end up scratching myself until I bleed, which for me isn't a good thing.

I certainly think you need to talk to your GP about it, you may find that an antihistamine cream or tablet may help a bit, but I recommend checking it out first with your GP 👍🏻😊

Yes I have what I call my itchy fits I have to take an anti histamine already so I can't think that mine is an allergy I have put it down to the fibro for some reason it always seems worse at night probably as I am a member of the insomniac club so probably notice it more then. I don't often have a rash just the itching worse on my torso and neck.x

when i have had severe itching it has also been at night i think it might be down to getting to warm or hot in bed.i try not to scratch because once i start it gets worse and goes on for a lot longer .i find putting something cold over the area helps for a while.

Yep agree with all the above - usually happens at night and drives me nuts. the strange thing is that you would never know looking at me in the morning that I had been up nearly all night scratching like made. Even itchy behind my eyeballs and all over my face.

I did read that it due to pesky over sensitive nerve endings that we have

Kind regards.

Jane :-)

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have an all over itch. I get an itch on my arms and legs but not all over. It may be worth mentioning this with your GO just to get other medical conditions ruled out of the equation.

I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with this.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Who would believe that I was just rubbing my eyes like crazy before I read this post?!? (Left one more gently, it has the contact lens!) They were itching so much!

And often my tummy & torso will start itching, just out of the blue! I feel like a crazy woman: rubbing my tummy, scratching it round and round in circles ~ but it helps so much!!! So "Yes, I have a Fibro itching issue!" bk

hi there so sorry to see you have the itching problem with your fibro / i had the itching problem with my fibro and it could be the nerve endings just under the skin as i had this problem for 12 months and i scratched my legs as i felt like i had ants under my skin crawling under my skin and i sctratched so bad that in the 12 months i had this itching problem i must of scratched over a hundred layers of skin off my my legs and i had several treatments but none worked so i started wearing shorts all the time to let my skin breath and put melted honey on my legs for 2 months and it helped to heal my skin but im left scared and after my meds were changed to gabipentean and citolopram / parden bad grammer/ my legs stopped itchining so yes i think it was the fibro that caused my skin to it as its the nerve endings that made it feel that i had ants under the skin. my legs looked like raw meat and now with change of med i hardley itch/ it your itching causes you to break your skin and bleed try using honey to keep infection on broken skin at bay and see your gp about your meds as the correct med for your fibro might help stop the itching/ good luck and vlet me know how you get on
