I'm off to Rhodes for a friend's wedding in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone new the regulations on taking medication, including controlled medicines, into the country?

Can anyone help? x

I went to Rhodes last September, I took all mine no problem. I put all mine into a clear bag, made sure the prescription label was on the box, made sure I packed a current prescription list with me too. I now have Methotrexate injection pens as I have RA too, my Rheumatologist said that would issue me with a letter to take with me if I was going abroad, she said to put the injection pen into a sealed container then there shouldn't be any problems. I hope tho is of help. Rie x

I'm glad I could put your mind rest. Have a great holiday. I went on a canaries' cruise in April, again with no problem. X

I've never had any problems but have made sure I have my repeat prescription with me and one of the Drs Surgery business cards with me so they can check. I believe there is a form we should fill in when travelling in Europe to get free Healthcare the Gov.com website will cover that too!

Enjoy Rhodes I have been there a few times and it is lovely ( apart from Falaraki!)

This was a question I asked my Dr before I went to Spain in may. Dr will fill in a form of the meds that you take, so if you are questioned regarding the meds, you are covered by the signed ddocument! I keep mine with my passport so I don't mislay it!

Have a fantastic holiday!.... Much love.... Ninja...♥♥♥

HI carolyncowell

Hope you have a fantastic holiday in Rhodes, I am going to Mexico on 17th September so I'd better look up the regs for meds. there. Although I'm looking forward to the relaxing holiday I'm not looking forward to the 9 hour flights. However I will do as I have been advised and get up and walk around as much as possible. I'm usually wide awake when everyone else is sleeping !!!
