Hi,

It took about five weeks for me to get a yes.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum.

It can vary according to how many ESA assessments they have to go through so it can be a bit of a postcode lottery according to what area you live in. Whether it is straightforward so they can make an easy decision or whether when they look at it they have to go through a great deal of extra information which might need to be clarified.

Like your daughter a very quick response can mean they feel they have been able to make a quick easy decision so you can get notified straight away so they can get you off the ESA books and onto Jobseekers and looking for a job as often it is all to do with statistics.

No news can actually be good news. If you hear nothing for weeks it is certainly worth chasing it up to see what is delaying the decision.

Best of luck with it do please let us know how you get on.x
