Im not sure but there was tax credits for people working over 16 hours, Also are you correctly medicated and managing your condition these are all helpful things that are possible for you . I know its easy to say but sometimes a pain management or fibro management course can help its not always the meds that do it.. can you take sick leave to help manage it so you can return a little more in control of the situation.

I am in the same situation and have applied through PIP and just had my assessment. I applied as it is said that they look at you and not what your partner earns. We live in the south West and everything is expensive and we cant afford to lose my income.

Have you looked at the access to work scheme? That is specifically intended to provide aids and equipment to assist disabled people in work. The government have cut it (just to help us even more!) but it does still exist.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is the obvious benefit to claim. It is not means tested and is not taxable. It can be paid irrespective of whether you work or not.

It is worth checking whether you might qualify for Working Tax Credit Disabled Worker element too. The rules are complicated but if you apply for and get PIP, you are half way there as it passports you through one of the eligibility rules.

If your mobility is limited or you have difficulties with manual dexterity or you cannot easily use a parking meter or pay and display machine , a Blue Badge could save you money on car parking. Your County Council or Unitary Authority website will have more details.

Take a look at the Council Tax Disabled Reduction Scheme too. If you are eligible your Council Tax is reduced by one band.
