Oh, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person:

having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,

but pour them all out, as they are, chaff and grain together,

knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them,

keep what is worth keeping,

and then, with the breath of kindness,

blow the rest away.

A tall order but all we can hope in life really.

But Thanking you for catching a falling spirit.

In Hawaiian culture, Ohana means family in an extended sense of the term, including blood-related, adoptive or intentional relations. Ohana means family - family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten

thanks for sharing :-)

I likes that. Something else for me to dwell on.

Am off now to explore Hawaian culture.

Thanks for sharing.

Not my words unfortunately.

One if those things that I read years ago. That stayed in my heart.

They sort of seemed to hit the spot.

It hit the spot with me too-thanks for sharing it x

It is really lovely and thought provoking. It is nice to have someone to lean on occasionally :)

Can you feel me leaning.

The people I can really be me with are few and far between. And I always feel so guilty afterwards for unloading the rubbish. I think th trick is not to do it too often.

In fact I felel deeply ashamed that I canny keep my end up. But came across some inspiring words the other day.

"Joyfully disregarding the shame".

i am dwelling on them.

thank gawd for radio 4.

Have a good day and wish me an extra bit of energy as its the school party this afternoon.

Now I only work mornings. They haven't spotted how I stagger out at lunch time. I doubt if I will be much use. Even though I am lolling about. Trying to conserve my daily ration of energy.

Hey ho.

Perhaps I will get to sit on Santa's knee.

You may lean, you don't feel heavy at all :)

I only work mornings too and to be honest it is enough. As you say it is hard to keep up the pretence that all is fine when you ache, but hey ho :D

Santa's knee you say, so as you don't miss such a treat I am sending you as much energy as I can muster. I am for the works Christmas lunch today so I have a little to spare :)
