It looks like it can and I need some feedback. Haven't had the results from Cardio yet but I'm now expecting 0 Findings apart from whats mentioned above. Apart from above and as nothing's been found to cause the findings (all monitored) I'm being referred to Psychs. I'm perfectly ok with this as these symptoms are distressing & if the psychs can stop it I'll be eternally grateful. Would like to know your thoughts !!! Thx Ann

Hello Whatamug1,

Obviously I am not medically trained and cannot refer to any diagnosis but some people with Fibro experience;

Autonomic Dysfunction (sometimes called Dysautonomia) of some kind is common with Fibro: this simply means that the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) isn't working properly.1 The ANS keeps various factors in your body at normal levels, including heart rate, blood pressure, perspiration and respiration. Autonomic Dysfunction with Fibro can include not being able to properly regulate your temperature - people with Fibro are often either too hot or too cold - and fainting (Lindsey Middlemiss, Founder & Chair of FibroAction 2009)

Some people mention they have been diagnosed with conditions like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), however this may not have any relation to anything you have been experiencing but I thought I'd mention it out of interest.

I also would say if you would like any further information or would like to talk to someone about PoTS and also Bigeminys in relation to this syndrome I would consider visiting the Syncope Trust And Reflex anoxic Seizures (STARS) website below;

stars.org.uk/

They also have a community here on HU so you could ask your question there if you like;

I hope this helps

Thx for the links Emma - POTS is me apart from one fact. My BP elevates on standing - but will look at that again.....as a tilt test - instead of just lying still for 10 mins & then being monitored when I stand - next to a hospital bed may have different results....

it's my pulse that drops (to 31. If my stress is doing this I can totally understand why OVERLOAD BIG TIME for 27 YEARS !!! BUT - when I look back (a long way - nearly 41 yrs ago to a very severe injury, back, to three different places, I can see where the ANS fits in totally. Also, my FM was definitely there in late teens following this accident.

I've had years and years of the LOOKS from Drs & have had the good fortune to meet the loveliest Psych Dr who healed me with the right words at the right time. It's an excellent science - BUT there's still a BUT ....going on !!! Firstly - can it be that easy ? Lol & thx

Oh - and the central heartings on now - Any temp rise or temp drop !!! WHEREAS the last 2 summers have found me inside with curtains & blinds closed and the garden doing it's bestest to survive !!! It's definitely an ANS prob but what can be done. Will look at the links you've sent . X

Hi Whatamug1

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. I think that Emma has given you some wonderful information and advice.

These are very complicated issues, as what you have described could be symptoms for so many other physical and physiological illnesses. It may help you to discuss these issues with like minded folk or your medical specialists and gauge a view from their experiences and knowledge base?

I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Thanks Ken - I am waiting for results. Psychs was mentioned by an A & E Dr. She did appear a bit high (manic). I couldn't help my brain acting like it was. Ok now & perfectly compus mentus - (welllll !) BUT it definitely hasn't been. Are there any sites on the Autonomic Nervous System ??? Kind regards

Hi again, I have pasted you a link to the HealthUnlocked forum finder, and specifically for Autonomic Nervous System, there appears to be a couple, so I hope that are useful:

A few months ago I personally had a dementia test as I have been suffering with confusion and memory issues. My GP said that I did not have any specific dementia or Alzheimer's etc but I did have a problem and it was probably a mix of my migraines, chronic fatigue (as I am an insomniac) and my medications. So I am now waiting to see my Neurologist again!

It can be quite frightening when you are confronted with a situation whereby you are not in control of how you are thinking or feeling, even if the problem is only short lived? So I understand completely how you are feeling.

Take care

Yup & it becomes even more serious when you're in hospital being monitored and being asked questions about what has been happening by a Doctor and important ones at that. ie do you get breathlessness - No

Do you get pain - No etc etc THESE answers should have been YES.

Why was my brain doing this ?

From what I remember about my answers - They would show NO signs of Cardiac Sypmtoms. I remembered it 'later', as if although there, looking and acting perfectly normal, I wasn't, & I remember this particular incident ...it was as if NO was the only answer I could find in my brain at the time. My son has often asked me Why ? when he asks a question he receives an answer hours/days or even weeks later. Why I lose track in conversations etc. Always done this - Collate info and the brain chews it over and spits it out ( not always at convenient times either). There's a time delay - as if cells aren't conducting the info. Obviously it's a serious prob if I can 'effectively lie' during what is a history giving exercise.

I'm dangerous to myself. The enlightenment of what I'd done's taken 6 weeks to appear! I'm my own worse enemy

I can genuinely relate to a great deal of what you have said. I also have what feels like a time delay in replying to people in conversations when I get somewhat confused. My memory is abysmal at times and I say the same thing several times.

Please take care

Thanks Ken - The good thing about texting is that you can stop and think. I always thought that I was pretty sharp but guess it's time to accept that I'm getting older. It was really hard to give in to the physical probs and I guess this is also just part of the journey. Take care ann

I don't know what cardiologist you saw or what tests you have had. I have this to say as a cadiac technician working 10 years in ICU, Telemetry, & ER + as a cardiac patient with virtually every symptom you have: You need to see a specialized cardiologist referred to as Cardioelectrophysiologist!! You need to have a specialized tests that identify & trace the electrical pathways of your heart. Only then will you have a complete answer & possible resolution to your complex heart rhythms.

Good luck & God Bless!
