Yesterday was Brighton Pride, my wife and I watched the parade and then headed into the park. I always make a beeline for the charity and community stalls and have lots of great conversations, as well as the compulsory buying of junk. After 6 hours at Pride, my body gave up, my wife dragged me up the hill home and I've been asleep most of the time since then, while the rest of Brighton continues to party. I had a great day, but the suffering that follows really puts a dampener on it all. I still can't wait until next year!
Brighton Pride weekender: Yesterday was... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Well done on surviving the time that you did as it is difficult to keep the energy flowing as a fibromite
As long as you get some R&R to give yourself the chance to re-charge I think you'll be be fine
You look like you enjoyed yourselves too with your lovely big smiles
Soft energising healing fluffie hugs for you
P.S. Is it ok to call you Kaz as it's shorter to type?
Glad you've enjoyed your weekend together ! Sorry it took a lot out of you as Fibro sometimes does but your lady wife has looked after you well & I hope your less achey now
Looking forward to getting to know you more & chatting more around the community.
Hope you are resting up this evening
My son lives in Brighton but as his lease runs out Tuesday he's been trying to move all weekend in Preston park , he's at his near empty flat at moment trying to work out how to get a sofa out that doesn't want to go down the staircase he works at D G . He always enjoys the pride weekend but not this year he should of been spending it with his girlfriend he's very cross ,glad you enjoyed it.
It was indeed a great day. I slept until midday today which is something I don't think I've ever done before so hopefully on the road to recovery now.
rowantree - you were there! What was your favourite bit? We may have crossed paths at some point ( I was the one being dragged towards the 'Dogmobile' by my belt hooks just for fun (on the floor may I add) in a moment of 'I'm a perfectly well normal almost 30 year old'. I was sober, it was fun, and I'm recovering nicely at last! xx
