Is anyone else having problem with gp. Am on amitryptaline tramadol co codamol. Have asked for pain clinic referal. Think i asked for the moon the response i got.

Hi,

you have the right to ask for a referral. Sadly not all GPs are supportive. The referral to the pain clinic was one of the best things that happened for me. I got put on there Fibromyalgia Pain management course and also got one to one help for CBT. It was worth it. I hope you get your referral. Keep nagging if you have to!

You may consider taking a member of your family with you next time and/or seeing another GP. If you still feel your Healthcare is being dismissed you can speak to the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) and/or write to the Practice Manager.
