Have you spoken to your doctor about this or seen a specialist? I ask because I suffer from CRPS in my left ankle, meaning I have to use a mobility scooter to get around. CRPS has other symptoms along with the pain (swelling, decreased blood flow - my foot is very often blue).

You shouldn't be in this amount of pain, so definitely seek help asap. Good luck :-)

I'm sorry to hear you have this pain every morning and can sympathise. Every morning my feet, knees and ankles are very painful and I can't walk downstairs for several minute after first getting up. I have recently been put on Pregabalin along with Tramadol and these seem to be working a bit. I'm also being referred to my hospitals rheumatology department to see if they can help. It might be worth seeing your gp to see if either of these options would help you. Good luck and let me know how you get on. Take care. X

Morning Poppymell, hope you're ok today,

Just had to reply to your post as I felt that we are both at the same stage!! But for me it took a visit to the rheumy to be prescribed pregabalin. But I do feel now that I am on a role in being believed and having help to manage it. Just out of curiosity, do you have any stomach problems?

in reply to kmc-cudsleepforaweek

I don't have stomach problems but have heard from loads of people who do. There seems to be lots of symptoms associated with fibro apart from pain and fatigue. Mine is hot sweats which I get day and night! Not pleasent! X

Hi Shilu

I am so sorry to read that you have been suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.

It may be advisable to discuss this issue with your GP to try and ascertain what is going off for you?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Shilu, can you not ask your GP to get you help with a crutch, it might help to take the pressure

HI Shilu, what about, if you try to stretch slowly , massage it gently, do you live with any one, if you could ask some one to help you to get a warm towel, rub it then change it with cold one (or cold peas) few minutes, and have a little movement then just focus lean toward your other foot more, go to your gp, make sure you get some sort kind of tool (stick, crutch or anything) for you to take the pressure of that ankle off, as you dont want to make it worse...I hope that help

Hi All,

Apologies if I get this message wrong I'm a newbie! Saw your question and totally sympathise as I too suffer with this. One thing I found helpful before stretching the foot and ankle was to apply heat. This is easier said than done as most things require travelling to get them so now I use reusable hand warders, you click the metal disc and they gradually heat up. I put them on the floor, swing my legs out of the bed and rest my feet on them for ten minutes. I use this time to either stretch the rest of me or if I'm being lazy, check my emails!

Hope this brings you some relief.

Take care.
