Hi there it really is upsetting at first and that but cant officially say yes to that or anything but that is definitely what live with every day and id definitely call that a fibro symptom linked to my fog. Hope that helps some. fog for me is similar only even though I know what's going on around me I don't always react to it mines pretty bad was riding along on my scooter and some kids threw rocks at us my sister and me. I heard my scooter get struck but kept on going, it was until Sarah said too me that it brought me out of it. xx

Thank you for your reply royalspec01 hope you was ok I bet it shuck you up. when you did come out of it good job your sister was with you. My hub and kids laugh and joke and say its OK its just you age im only 55 not 90 lol

It certainly sounds like fibro fog and I know just how frustrating it is. Mine has been worse than usual the last two day and the stupid things I have said and done. is unbelievable.

You do get used to it to a certain extent but will still be frustrating.

If this is a new symptom to you I suggest that you mention it to your doctor, just to be sure. Hugs sue xx

Hiya fibro 10,

Really like your expression " memory freeze" ..... it sounds more exciting than "fibro fog"

Not only do I forget what I am saying, I also forget what I am doing, many times I go into a room and forget what I was supposed to be doing or getting.

Also put things in the most ridiculous places... last night I put my yoghurt pot in the bread bin!! :)

If I can't remember what I am supposed to be saying or a person's name, or if the wrong words come out , I just make a big joke of it, to try and hide my embarrassment. Some of the things I say can actually be quite amusing. :) xx

Hey fibro 10 :-) it drives me crazy too. Keep putting stuff in the wrong place, forgetting why I've gone upstairs (which is really annoying cause it takes me so long to get there! ) and worst of all for me just now I'm trying to do a degree but I can't study or write essays because I can't retain any information! Sooo frustrating. I wonder If anyone knows anything that helps? Pretty sure we could all do with not feeling like we're losing our minds on top of everything else...

Hope it improves for you soon, Jess xx

Hi fibro10

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and it does sound a lot like Fibro Fog! However, it is always worth having this sort of thing checked out by your GP just to rule anything else out and keep your GP up to date with how you are getting on?

All my hopes and dreams for you

I've only just realised that it's fibro fog. Lol. I find myself more often these days telling myself now then Teresa, deep breath think. usually after a little while the realisation comes back and I remember. Dreading the day when it doesn't.

It's so frustrating isn't it? An avid reader, I struggle to get past the first few pages, it's not so bad once I 'get into' the book.

What I find is, that if I have a pen and notepad at hand, I can jot things down as reminders. I've also just got a new phone that I can record on so I'm going to see if that helps. X.

I do it too sweetheart!!! It's part of the wonderful world of fibro. Don't think you are going crazy, it's just a symptom of the disease. Hope you start feeling better!!! xxx Mitzi

Sounds just like me fibro!! I tried to answer the telephone with my TV remote yesterday and tried to lock my door with my car key fob!! I have to rewind the TV often cos I can't remember what they said; I have to go back a page in my book cos I can't remember what I read!! I forget what I wanted to say mid sentence and I often go into a room and forget why!! It takes me ages to get up the stairs too so I try not to!!! XX
