Saw this and thought of everyone My Life as a AA Battery

This is a slideshow video by a lady with Fibromyalgia who gives a fanstastic analytical account of what the illness is like and does to her and likens herself to a AA Battery with respect to fatigue and energy it is a good analogy..... I personally think!

I found myself associating with her many times whilst reading and listening to her and thought about how many times do we ask each other What's the best way to explain Fibromyalgia to our nearest and dearest?

I have added my photos to make a video of "My Life as a AA Battery" which I wrote in 2010. I have been told by many people with Fibromyalgia, that this has helped them feel understood and less alone. With this video, I hope to reach more people .Entire video is original photography, crafts, and text by Kelly Kvenlog Wichlacz'

This is brilliant Sian. Every one of us needs to watch this

particulaly those who are new, or need more basic info on what to expect

It would make a great, Introduction to living with fibro when first diagnosed.

Are you any better today? I really REALLY hope so.

Lots of healing hugs comming your way sue

Oh and I agree with Nedd. definatly a car battery. Thats why it feels so heavy. Today I am carrying the car as well. :(

in reply to

Bless you Sue but Nedd's right about the car battery as it has the weighing down factor :o

I'm right there with you too battling severe chronic pain is exhausting I'm having to energy boost all the time.

I totally agree about this lady's video/slideshow it is brilliant. She says what we have all been wanting to, putting into words so easily and in such a clear manner for friends and family to understand. I think the lack of medical jargon certainly helped with that :)

I seem to be ok so far!! with pain level halved compared to yesterday but it's still early. Still got terrible mobility though! and on max pain meds for now and next few days until I test to see if I can start to reduce them back down again...............

Sending you healing & energising fluffies :)

I must state for the benefit of members that titrating your meds should always be done under the advise of your doctor! I have a specific medication system as set out by my medical care providers which I adhere to.

Thanks Sian for bringing this Lady to us!

She is a brave Fibromite

Without making the video too heavy with the torture and pain of fibro

She manages to convey where we all are most days.

you're very welcome and glad you enjoyed what she had to say xxx sian

Finally got round to watching the video. Best thing I have watched in a while, it explains fibro very eloquently and much better than I ever could. It should be handed to anyone diagnosed with fibro to watch with their families. 10\10 and big hugs for posting it :) xx
