Hi jane59

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry but I have not had any dealing with Capita myself, but a couple of weeks ago one of the members had an assessment with them and she said that they treated her really well.

If you are due an assessment from them I want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I think ATOS are now out of the system altogether. Sorry, no experience. Just as in the Russian Revolution are we exchanging one suppressor for another?

I haven't had any experience myself but a few people on here have said that they are more understanding than ATOS, which has to be a good thing. Capita carry out medicals here in North Wales and I'm due for my medical in Nov. 2015, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! X

Hello jane. I am in brum and I have had one and a bit medicals with Capita. The first medical was at their offices and was taken by a very nice gent who told me that If I didn`t have written proof of a diagnosis for fibro `they` would be very hard to convince. He was very pleased when I handed him a letter from a Rhumatologist and rushed off to copy it

It didn`t last much longer than that, the stress levels went up and I just started getting confused, so he took my bp it was very high, so he stopped the medical insisted that i went to my GP and said that I was not to go back, that I was to phone for a home visit.

By the time I got to my gps BP was back to normal.

The home visit was a lady who suffers from fibro herself. All went well with her prompting me when I got confused and was very patient. She took over 2hrs to make sure that she had as much info as poss, I was my usual self when under stress. rambling one second then having an absence the next. loosing my balance before shutting my eyes and tipping a cup of cold coffee all over me.

I am still waiting to see if I qualify for PIP but our experience so far with Capita has been a lot better than with Atos

hugs sue
