I applied for Soc Sec Disability and was denied. Trying to find out if any of You have applied and is there any that have been approved for Soc Sec Disability. I know I can't work because of these symptoms as well as sleep apnea and rectal bleeding. I am up right now at 3:00 AM writing this and I have this issue every night where I can't sleep. I really need for serious Post on this topic only. I am going to see a lawyer and would like to have some ammunition to take with me to fight Soc Sec. I'm almost 59. Worked 41 years and have more than enough quarters to get Disability.

HI Bluebell, thanks for the kind words and information. It's changed now, You have 60 days to appeal even though I'm doing mine a week after I received my letter. I have an appt with my attorney today. Hope everything goes well with You and that You will have a positive decision.

Are you in the USA? The system is different here in the UK.

HI missymoomoo, Yes I'm in the US. I thank You so much for responding to me. Hope You don't ever have to deal with what I am dealing with trying to get benefits that I earned all my life. Most of us work but then get these conditions that affect us and it seems like these doctors can't figure out what it is so they say it's in our heads. That's alright, though, I will continue to fight. Have a great day!

Hi burri8

I am so sorry to read that you are having these issues at the moment. I noticed on your profile that you are in The US, and their benefits and laws are different to the UK.

However, you said that you had rectal bleeding and this should never be ignored, regardless! I highly recommend that you discuss this issue with your medical care provider as soon as you possibly

I want to wish you the best of luck

Ken

I applied and got mine, but it was actually before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was having trouble with IBS which comes along with fibro. It really helps if you talk with your doctor, as they do have lot's of pull in how much you are able to do. Hope this helps!!!

HI Mitziblue thank You for this information. My problem is the doctors that I have are pretty much useless. They all make it like I have problems and they don't mind seeing me every 3 months but then when I need them to write something for me they act like nothing was wrong with me. One of them that is a Pulmonary Doctor stated He didn't think He should do one on me because since I've been on my BIPAP machine, I have gotten better. Well, I thought if You get a machine that helps out that it is supposed to make us feel better but that doesn't mean we are cured and don't need the machine. If You don't mind me asking, I have IBS, what symptoms did You have that helped You get this? My doctor might not be providing all the issues I'm having in his write up after He sees me. That has been another issue I have. I noticed in some of the notes they take they don't put in all the issues that a patient has. It don't list questions that the patient had, don't list all the complaints the patient has had. They just seem to do a summary of what the visit was about and what they prescribed. Any information You can give would be very helpful. My email address is burri8@yahoo.com as well. thanks

Well, I was constantly cramping, even the dogs could hear and barked. Then I was up all the time with the run's and sometimes I would go a month without a BM but when I went it was like water, not what you would expect after such along time. Then there was the pain, it felt like Freddy Cruger was inside my stomach with his finger knives. Also I was and still am extremely tender in my stomach region. I never wear a bra but loose camie's. I hope this helps. Sounds like you should look around for a compassionate doctor. if I can help any more just let me know. Been there done that. Mitzi
