Hi andymac

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have never used this medication personally but I have pasted you the link to the drug specs from patient.co.uk, so I hope that you find this useful:

Hi Ken,Thankyou for the link and for your kind words.I have suffered with Fibromyalgia for 17 years now and I honestly don't think I have ever felt this bad.The all over pain is bad enough but the tiredness and fatigue is really getting me down.Apart from my Dr and wife I don't really have anyone else to talk to about it and how I am feeling so its great to know I am not alone.

Best Wishes,Andy

Hi Andy. I started tapentadol a few months ago. I am taking the slow release version of the drug. I started on 50mg twice a day which is about the minimum dose. I felt it was certainly doing something but that i prob need a higher dose. I did take a while to get used to side effects- headaches and nausea esp. Dr now wants me to up it to 100mg twice a day. I started alternating morning dose between 100 and 50 but when i took 100 every morning i started being violently sick. I am currently trying to fool my system by taking 100 on two mornings and 50 on the third. Hopefully this tail back on the third day just drops the levels back enough. Its a bit frustrating because i do feel some benefit from this drug but feel i am not getting the best from it

Hi All,Thanks for you reply's,I got my Tapentadol last week and have to take 50mg twice a day for 3 weeks then I will see my pain Dr again to let him know if I feel any benefit from them.So far i hav'nt,in fact I would say my pain levels have got worse. I know its early days yet but I am really getting to the end of my rope and don't know how much more I can take. Not really noticed any side affects as I suffer with 2 headache conditions anyway and I take stomach tabs as I am on lithium. Will just need to see how things go over the next few weeks.
