Fed up...do not let a condition define your life.

I'm in need of a rant.

I'm fed up with people at work saying their in pain but only take paracetamol or ibuprofen. And stating that they are tired. I just want to scream darling try 2 hours a night sleep like I have every night this week do 11 hour days in the office and have to take oramorph to go to work. I'm tired and in agony. I go to the gym everyday - 6 hours exercise every week. I force myself too because there is people with worse conditions than fibro. When you've had 28/40 injections at work girls and come in straight after and are using a wheelchair then talk to me about pain. And to the people in the pain clinic I don't care if your using your benefits for alcohol or fags if it'a DLA/AA/PIP use it for your condition to make lied better. Not your addiction/ social life. Sorry if I've offended but I work hard and I've had enough of the people that play woe is me. Make your like what YOU want it to be. A condition should not define every aspect of your life. Sorry if I've offended.

Hi emjane4465

I am so sorry to read of your frustration with everything at the moment, and I genuinely understand where you are coming form. Please do not be worried about your rant as you genuinely have not offended me; you have merely stated what many of us on here actually think!

I want to wish you all the best of luck and please do not take what others say to heart, as the people that really matter in your life are the ones that love you, and you love them.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Emjane4465

I applaud you for your rant, I wish those hypocrites would shut their mouths until the have suffered pain, not the paper cut kind but the absolute agony that is in your brail and it is full if nails and every move hurts, it hurts to listen to hear what that person is saying but your humour has deserted you through the pain so you take some liquid oramorph and it starts to blunt the nails, temporarily because you know the pain will return.

When the pain has settled down and whether you have been sick or whatever and the leftovers are so debilitating tat you could not decide on a coat or a umbrella when it is raining outside.

The sleep is fought off by the pain and another bought of oramorph and it settles for a bit so you try the relaxing exercises to help one sleep, you drop off to sleep and then it is your tablet time, that is when you have had the normal 1.5 - 2.0 hrs sleep so a good night tonight. so you try to get up and the pains that were feeling better are now residing in the hips and the knees and ankles so it is so hard to get out of the bed and get to the toilet. I struggle to survive on the food I have been given or the drinks I have taken.

I manage to find a comfy spot on the chair and sit there while the sun comes up and watch the world turn,

Take great care and Kindest regards

Terry

Rants are good

When others don't have a clue

It opens your head

And acts like a flue.

We all need them xx

You haven't offended and I wish those so called normies could read it, but they wont, and wont understand if they did. So go for it. Lots of lavender scented gentle hugs.

I agree totally. I really let ripp at a colleague who made a joke about what's wrong now when I could hardly walk across the office. I think he got the message. He's sweet really and always helpfull but he got me on a really bad day. I've never had a day off work in the last 2 years; it gets to me when someone has the sniffles and gets all the sympathy and told they should be at home in bed or take tomorrow off!!

Rant away! At the risk of repeating myself, if one more person, just one, says "are you better yet?" they,re going to get it! I had a bad day yest, did too much, and my chum said "oh go and have a rest, then you,ll be ok" so I said " no I won't, I,ll be just the same" , she looked surprised and said "0h I,m sure you will" at which point I left. My husband is fed up with explaining too, he,s very good, but he has to say the same thing over and over to the same people! SO, great empathy for your rant, just keep on keeping on! xxxxx

Yes! I hate it when people are surprised I'm not better yet! So unhelpful. I've decided not to think that people think I'm malingering. I've been frozen by this thought. I've discovered it's mostly my issue and most people don't think that. I've decided to listen to the helpful and ignore the unhelpful!!
