Hi,

as for an emergency appointment with your GP and ask him/her to give you a referral toHealth in Mind. Also if you have a MIND centre near you, you can get help and information from them

Gentle hugs

Hi sarune

I am so sorry to read of your situation at the present time. Please be assured that everyone on this will always be here to afford you the friendship and kinship that you rightly deserve.

I would personally recommend that if you feel really desperate or depressed that you ring the Samaritans. They can offer you a listening ear and help you overcome the feelings of depression and anxiety at that time. The Samaritans also allow visitors to their buildings to discuss your issues in private. The number for your local Samaritans will be in the phone book. They will also be able to tell you of any counselling organisations in your area. Most larger towns and cities will have a registered charity that offers low cost counselling. Normally they will ask for a donation that will depend on your income and they mostly start at about £8 for an hours counselling if you are on benefits. Please understand however that the counsellor you might see will only be a student but they will do their best to help you.

I was wondering if you have a GP? As you mentioned going to a local walk-in centre. If you do not have a GP it might be a good idea to try and register with one as soon as you can as they can help you with counselling services and any medications that you may need. If not, you can visit any walk-in centre but you may have to wait a while to see a doctor or nurse for a referral to your local hospital.

I sincerely hope that I have been able to help you today, and if you ever need somebody to communicate with please post here online and I will always get back to you, I promise.

Please take care of yourself.

Hi and welcome. Sorry you're feeling so desperate at the moment. I don't know where in the UK you are but, if you go online, you can check and see if there is a Wellbeing service in your area. You can self-refer without going through your GP and amongst the referral questions they ask if you feel in immediate concern re harming yourself so they jump you up the list. Good luck - I hope you get the help you need quickly x
