Is anyone prescribed with Naltrexone to relieve fibro symptoms?

Naltrexone has been shown to reduce fibro symptoms at low doses of 4.5 mg per day in small-scale studies conducted by Stanford University researchers. It's a very cheap drug that's used widely to treat alcohol and opioid addiction. Because of this, the drug companies are not likely to fund large-scale testing of this drug on fibro patients. However, doctors can prescribe Naltrexone off-label to fibro patients.

To read a summary of the research data, go to ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/2...

Patients who are taking opioids should not take Naltroxone because they may experience severe cold turkey reactions.

To watch the YouTube video from Stanford University called "An Update on Fibromyalgia", which mentions this research, go to

I don't know why this went unanswered for so long. LDN is a proven drug and I have been taking it for about 6 months. I've found it very effective. My flairups are far and few between and last a day to four days. It's a flu like feeling, but the widespread pain is gone. I still don't sleep much and my skin is very sensitive

To the touch. I'm very happy with LDN .
