Yes I would like to know more about magnesium. People keep saying it's a wonder supplement.

Magnesium is great for exhaustion but I have tried 2 types of Magnesium and they both made my Interstital Cystitis worse, so since my bladder problems I've had to stop it sadly.

Thanks for that, Judith. I have suspected IC so I wouldn't want my bladder to be stimulated more. Many thanks

Hello Holly and Kirby

I used to have several migraines a month and started taking magnesium. The migraines practically stopped, I'd only get the start and then they'd go.

I don't know about other muscles but I would recommend giving it a try at least.

Good luck.

I'd xx

I have taken magnesium supplements for a few years now. I can't say it's done anything for my fibro....I take it as I believe it can actually strip the veins/arteries of nasty build up!! XX

Trouble is you clutch at straws and always willing to try something different

I think we do tend to want to try everything we can to help ourselves. Unfortuately what helps one person may not help another. I think it is a case of try it and see. You may be lucky.

Well done holly , what ave you to lose, anything is wortha try isn't it...hugs...Dee xx

Hi there everyone

I agree that these things are worth trying and Jilly gives good advice with respect to the fact that we are all different and these things may or may not work for us.

Despite that though I must implore you to find out if you are lacking in magnesium before taking it, you never know you might not need it but need something else instead. Your GP can help with that through a simple blood test to check your vitamin and mineral levels, if you ask nicely :) and express your concerns with respect to this matter.

Your GP should always be your first port of call :)

I AM GOING TO TO TRY MAGNESIUM IN SPRAY FORM.CANT TAKE SUPPLEMENTS.

I take Magnesium every day and it really helps me. I know it does give some people the runs. I have IBS and tend to get constipated so it actually helps me, but I have read that Magnesium Glycinate is better for those people. If like me you tend towards constipation use Magnesium Citrate which is the easiest absorbed. Taking it at night before bed is meant to help you relax and sleep better. Hope it helps.
