Has anyone heard of D Ribose for fibro?

I went into Holland & Barrett for something for terrible restless legs as I am now taking Mirtazapine and the assistant said that one of his customers uses D Ribose which is a sports energy supplement some people use for for restless legs. I've researched it a bit and the reviews are very positive not just for restless legs but for lacking energy in fibro sufferers.

Before I take the leap into the unknown and become hyper (ha ha) on an energy fix, has anyone tried it?

Hi Adriane, I haven't heard of it either, but a Fibro friend, feeling so lacking in energy did try one of the many energy fixes that are available everywhere now it seems and was very unwell as a result. If your research shows it to be useful, that would be very interesting but I would warn against taking it unless you

have checked it with your dr., just to be on the safe side, just in case there are any contraindications with any meds you are taking at present. Do let us know how it goes :-)

Hi

apparently it has been found effective to help against tiredness for Fibro however not fully tested. It is used as part of body building programes to enhance energy performance in .muscles.

It is widely sold and there are many sites with information of course there are also many differing opinions. How much to take ? It can produce side effects so best to have a read of all the different ones.

I find it strange that if it is so good we have not been advised of it before so read the info and check with your doctor before use - just be sensible !
