That's a smasher Foggy! Sorry about the migraine, how's it going?

What can you/do you take for them? I take Imigran, which work for me if I can get them down my neck early enough.

Hi Puss, I gave up on imigran cos it gave me very nasty side effects, I did it with the injection pen which was fairly useless because by that point I could barely activate it. I have changed to Maxalt wafers (rizatriptin) which are fab, you just tuck it either under your tongue or in the side of your cheek and it takes virtually no time to kick in. (About 20 mins for me normally) Apparently the blood vessels in your mouth are about the quickest way to get meds into your blood stream (hence the under the tongue things for heart probs). So the worst of the pain has gone now, but it still leaves me feeling like I've been run over by a steam roller. If you have real probs with the sickness of migraine it might be an idea totalk to your dr about the Maxalt because it solves that problem completely as it goes nowhere near the stomach, which my dr says shuts down often in migraine sufferers when they have an attack .

Thanks for your concern Puss, but I'm on the up now, so that's good. :-)
