Bad wrist pain -a sprain or fibro

Just developed severe wrist pain, not sure what it is, you can always blame fibro but may not be?having said that I am exhausted and have pain in my elbow too so guess it s fibro, anyone get pain in their wrist?

Not in my wrist but I woke up one day 5 years ago with the most terrible pain in my ankle and it swelled up enormously ... The hospital were baffled as was my GP it wasn't broken ... Then my knee did the same I was finally diagnosed with osteo arthritis sero negative rheumatoid arthritis and CRPS so please if its not normal for you get it checked out it might be a fibro flare .... But if it isn't other treatment might be needed so always get it checked and yes I have fibro too

Yes, I have awful problems with wrists, and like VG I have Rheumatoid Arthritis.

The fact is that you should have this checked out as arthritic conditions are treatable.

It's usual to do a diagnostic blood test, and to inject some steroids into the affected joint. If this relieves the pain, you can bet your life that it's arthritis and not fibro.

I call it "Broken arm syndrome", I get it all the time, especially if I have been busy. Hands, wrists, elbow, shoulders, neck. It is horrible and debilitating. Fibro can be so frustrating!

Morning! Yes I've had it really bad all year in my wrists, so much so that I couldn't work. Hardly able to to lift a cuppa let alone a kettle sometimes! Everything becomes problematic, taps, typing, cooking, work, meh!! Pain killers don't seem to touch it either. Sorry to hear you're suffering too. Do get checked for arthritis though.
