Has anyone had side effects whilst on naproxen? One of my friend who has Lupus (DLE and SLE), she has been on naproxen and is having some really dangerous side effects. Is there any other meds instead of these, she is seeing her consultant on Thursday.

Yes, I can't take any kind of Non-Steroidal Anti inflammatory (which is what naproxen is), because it makes my colitis worse. They can also have effects on liver, kidneys and the lungs and heart.
There are other types of NSAIDs called Cox-2 inhibitors that are thought to have less side effects, but I'm sure her consultant will suggest the best thing for her specific condition.
