I have tried Gabapentin and a low dose of antidepressant drugs but for a very sort time I hate to take tablets try to manage with out
currently take naproxen, co codomol and tramadol when needed. Also take prednisolone for pmr
I don't think there is anything I haven't tried, I don't take any pain meds now as I have an intolerance to all codine and paracetamol based medicines
I was taken off ibuprofen several years ago, as I'm on Warfarin.
The only pain relief I will take is CoCodamol and Codeine if I need to top it up.
I was offered the other medications, which I refused. The medical profession don't know the cause of Fibroymyalgia, so how can they treat it, and I'm certainly not being anyone's Guinea pig !
Tried and tested but unfortunately without any success. Xx
I take Pregabalin and duloxetine. They seem the best combination for me.
Taking nothing, my GP does not believe it necessary.
I'm not taking anything for FM. If it gets bad I take a strong co-codamol. The rest don't work.
I am taking Venalfaxine for severe depression which may be helping but I am also relying on God to get me through, which he does.
i am on prendisione as well
I take Nortriptyline, Tramadol and paracetamol to take the edge off my pain and allow me to work. I've previously taken various SSRIs for depression, but not for many years now. I also have lisinopril for hypertension (and avoid caffeine).
I take amitriptylin. My physiotherapist said that this medicine is only short term though so being sent for a review .
I am currently taking Pregabalin, Duloxitine, Dihydrocodiene, Slow release DHC and Diazepam and take 400mg Ibruprofen.
I'm currently on... Venlafaxine, propranolol, amitriptyline, dihydrocodene and gabapentin. Also sumatriptin occasionally for migraines. Stomach issues mean I can't take naproxen or any asprin/ibuprofen based meds which I have previously been on.
I am currently on gabapentin ,amitriptyline,co-codamolwhen needed and codeine at night. Have tried pregabalin, tramadol and ibuprofen but they don't suit me. Going back to dr soon as even upped dose of gabapentin doesn't seem to do anything and I'd rather not be taking them if there're no help.
I'm not taking any prescriptive drugs at present but trying turmeric supplements, also 5HTP and load of good healthy food. Must say my energy levels get a boost, only too sore at times to use it!!

I don't feel the medication work in on sertraline, naproxen, gabapentin so one from each , also tried a few of the others
I did try gabapentin but it made my ibs so much worse it was ridicules. I'm now on codine and amitriptyline.
I'm taking sertraline, gabapentin, zomorph and for muscle spasms diazepam.
I also take Pizotifen as a migraine preventative and cocodamol for additional pain relief as and when needed. I wasn't certain the Amitryptiline was helping, and stopped taking it for a time, the pain was worse without it. It does help me sleep.
Can't take NSAIDs anymore due to gut problems.
could we add a reply for painkillers as well please as that is one of the main things i use currently to manage my fibro. x
I am taking amitryptiline and tramadol. Have tried gabapentin, but didn't,t suit me. But my thoughts are that nothing REALLY works well, just takes the edge off the pain.
I am taking Pregabalin and Duloxetine (not listed)
I also take morphine based Oxy norm.
none of the meds in the poll, but since being on prednisolin (for an ocular condition that does not seem to have a systemic cause) my symptoms of fibromyalgia have nearly vanished -feeling better than I have in years, or maybe that is because I no longer have stress from working.
I've been on medication for high blood pressure for many years - Ramipril & Amlodipine. As a result I can't take NSAIDs. I also take a statin and Omeprazole for reflux. Re anything prescribed for Fibro, I've been on Vit D 1600 iu since diagnosed late 2013. Owing to my overwhelming tiredness I try to avoid any medication that will exacerbate this. So I've avoided Amitryptiline and Pregabalin. These have been prescribed in the past for and also Tramadol but they knock me for six. I do take Co-Codamol when required for pain but again try to avoid as it mainly makes me feel out of it. I suppose I'm lucky re pain compared to so many here as mine is typically more of a deep ache which I've learned to live with. When it's worse which can make me fidgety and agitated I resort to Co-Codamol.
I also have a progressive spinal condition which amongst other things causes spasticity and spasms. This is getting worse and the jerky movements in my legs can persist for hours, be very uncomfortable and irritating and disturb sleep. I've been prescribed Baclofen for this but again it sedates. I was prescribed 10mg at night but it had no effect on spasms.
I intend to avoid further meds until I have no choice but to succumb.
Hi sniffer, just a thought. Could your spams and jerky movements be restless leg syndrom?
You can get it in your arms as well. It might be worth looking into.
Sue
Hi mayrose
No, my spasticity is attributable to my Syringomyelia. My leg muscles are weakening which is partial paralysis (paraparesis) and so at some point I will be in a wheelchair.
I am currently taking Citilopram, Amitriptylene, and Gabapentin.
I also take Tramadol, Fentanyl and paracetamol.
amitrypiline and paracetamol. cant take NSAIDS and Tramadol makes me sick and dizzy.
Its a good job that paracetamol alway seems to work best for me.
Bp tabs.. amlodopine, bisoprolol and perindopril.
for reflux and heartburn... omeprazole. ropinerole and peptac liquid
for restless legs... ranitodine.
Plus iron tabs and asprin,
I also take Targinact prolonged release for pain and omeprazole to protect my stomach
I am on Naproxen 500 x 2 daily and Cocodamol 500 x 2 4 times a day. Plus, Prozac. I have been on morphine patches in the past. I had a scare last month when I had to go for emergency test as I have 1 kidney my new french GP was not happy on the amount of painkillers I take daily that was prescribed by my old English GP. Luckily my tests came back good and I have not destroyed my only Kidney! Not I don't take any painkillers and hurt so much. Glad its hot here in France at the Mo. But, dreading the winter!!!!!!
I am taking dulexotine, gabapentin, co codamol, hydrchoquinne,I also use ibuprofen 10% gel which I forgot about sorry Ken messed up your graph. 😫😫
I currently have 14 items on repeat prescription
I am taking tramadol 100mg 3 times a day.
I am on Citalopram, Amitrypteline, Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and Tramadol.
I have taken many drugs in all the categories in the past. I am happy to say I don't take any drugs in these categories now. I've lost 53 lbs. after weight loss surgery in Jan. of 2016 and I believe that has helped me drop several medications. I lost my husband of 42 years of marriage in March of 2016 and my stress levels from caring for him for years have dropped significantly. I believe that also is contributing to my being able to eliminate and reduce some medications. I am very happy to be free of some of these drugs.
Somewhat surprised that you don't have Cymbalta/Duloextine in the list.
Oh yeah forgot the about the tramadol which I also take, plus medipen and numerous other devices.
Tramadol makes me itch. Trying cbd oil. Ok so far
I am taking Citalopram x
I'm taking 150mg sertraline,amitriptyline 50mg, cocodamol 30/500mgX2 at night,paracetamol 500mg X2 three times daily,tramadol 100mg twice daily,tramadol 50mg twice daily,levothyroxine 125mcg, ferrous fumarate 210mcg,cetirizine 30mg,fultium 800 d X2 daily,metoprolol 50mg x1 migramax sachets for migraines
I forgot the omeprazole 20mg too I have to say the amitriptyline 50mg has helped a lot at night with my jerk and spasms I rarely have them now
Unfortunately I cannot take ANY medication, including 'stimulant' pain relief, due to a serious Heart Arrhythmia... so I couldn't tick any of the boxes...
I take Zapain, naproxen, gabapentin and nortriptyline. X
Hiya guys,
I am now taking,
Ammitriptiline
Naproxen
Tramadol with paracetamol as this enhances the effect of tramadol
Sertraline for post natal depression/OCD but told can help with pain? I'm not so sure.
Lidocaine patches locally (for rare type of facial pain)
Oramorph (for a rare facial type neuropathic pain but can take if fibromyalgia very severe but more for the 'woozy' feeling than for pain relief as it doesn't work very well for fibromyalgia due to our lack of that type of pain receptors in us)
Butrans Patch
In past have been on pre gabalin and gabapentin (the latter made me very ill and I got intolerant to pre gab after two years and went up to full dose 800mg and was sick of dramatic weight gain no matter how much do exorcise I did!)
Phew that's it and oh Hi as it's my first time post but long term lurker lol
Xx
I takepregabalin, paracetamol, tramadol, citalaprim and amatriptalin

cbd brothers 17% under 20 pound
On tramadol , zapain, mepradec amitriptyline and oxactin. Tried gabapentine had trouble to hold a conversation that made sense so had to come off them tried pregabalin my weight shot up tried them both for a year but they really didn't help. Not really found anything that helps and my gp's are not much help as one puts me on things and then when I see next gp it's you can't take that with that, when I find something that takes the edge off. can't win
I'm on duloxetin, pregabalin & co codamol, at the moment they seem to be helping.
I am at a loss regarding treatment for pain for Fibromyalgia. At present and in fact for a long time now I have been using 50mg Fentenal (morphine) patches. But in the hot weather they do not stay on. Also on Sertraline 150mgs, Paracetamol, and oramorph usually I take this
2 - 3 times a day (10mg in 5ml) at one time I take 2 x large tablespoons so that would be about 60mgs in one dose x 2-3 times a day. I have been waiting for over 3 years to get treatment for the severe pain I get. The pain anaesthetist said I should have IV pain therapy. But I am still waiting for this. (Delays in waiting time in NHS). I am getting to the end of my teather with my pain control. And \I just do not know which way to go. I am concerned about long term use of such high doses of morphine. I will investigate the CBD oil it certainly sounds interesting I only hope it works.magmap
Excerpt from the *Chronic Therapy website:
*The Crucial Difference Between Hemp Oil and CBD Oil
Hemp and marijuana are cousins in the plant world, but marijuana has a much higher THC content than hemp. Hemp oil contains low levels of CBD – typically less than 25 parts per million – while CBD oil can be up to 15% CBD. Because the plants are related, some unscrupulous sellers of hemp oil are trying to market it for its medicinal value, which is negligible.
I currently can't take any meds stronger than paracetamol as I have reactions to everything.
I'm taking tramadol since April,8 a day and they're working very well.I was 2 years on ibuprofen and didn't work and 2 yars on codeine which work a bit only.

I've been taking Zanaflex, Percocet, Mirtazapine, Ambien, Neurotin, Klonopin, Prozac, & Nabumeton. I'm on all my meds between 6-8 hrs except Ambuen klinopin Prozac mirtazapine & Nabumenton. Dr's do not understand how painful n nerve , & muscle ache is unbearable that the pain and muscle meds don't mean a thing.
oromorph valium/muscle relaxer morphine sulphat/mst pregabalin currently
Hi I am currently on Gabapentin Amitriptyline Citalopram and DHC continuous for pain as well as other meds for arthritis and angina. Been diagnosed with Fibro 20 years ago, after spending five years attending different clinics at hospital I finally got my diagnosis which came as a great relief as I thought I was going out of my mind. although these meds do not take pain away they alleviate it a little to give me some kind of normality in my life. I just take life on a daily basis and deal with it accordingly. I am now finding facial sweats are horrendous, even the slightest exertion leaves my hair soaking wet out of breath and very weak. Does anyone else have this? I would be grateful to hear from anyone with similar experiences
