I've got the 'Hippy' Shakes!

I can't hold anything of any weight even a cup of tea in my left hand at the moment it starts shaking uncontrollably right up my arm as well,infact i have to support it when still too as it starts a twitching and a shaking,embarrassed.com!xxx

Hi there Susie yea it seems to just be my left hand/arm at the moment that is so shaky and unpredictable! is quite alarming at times,this Fibro is a pain in the ass! Hope you are well Susie Love and Della xxx

I also get this down my left side along with muscle spasms followed by extreme weakness. I recently went for an Atos medical and the care person noticed it when doing grip test she said it is part of fibro but not a lot of sufferers have this symptom. Mines normally passes, I hope yours does to. Tracyann xxx

i get this too and really hate it, I can feel it in my whole body, but it isnt always noticeable to everyone else.

One of the questions the Atos doctor asked me as he shook my hand when he thanked me for coming…. he said do i usually shake like this?….. Often!

My gp seems to think what I have is a symptom of anxiety, but am having some extra blood tests done just to be sure. I guess with fibro so many of the symptoms overlap with so many other things its hard to tell why we get what?? if that makes sense! xx

Hi Della i know how you feel...i get shakes from my head and down my left side, it was quite alarming the first couple of times to say the least.

I am lucky to have good support from my Dr when i mentioned it, not sure what trrigers it..or can't remember what he said will need to ask again lol. I take a 1/2 of 5mg of diazepam to steady me, it suits me and i calm down, on occasion i have to take the 5mg.

I have my right hand twitching involentary sometimes, i think the Hippy Hippy shakes is a great way to explain it...I don't have it all the time i am puting it down to the fibro monster !! hope you are doing fine otherwise take care, Mary xx :-).
