Stomachaches and abdominal pain

Does anyone experience gastrointestinal reflux, nausea and sometimes severe abdominal pain? I get it before n after I eat sometimes. Or it can last for days. Went for an endoscopy this year n everything was clean. So it must be the Fibro.

Hi Alexandra, I get all of these from time to time but agree it can't always be put down to the fibro. I have been diagnosed with IBS and I know sometimes what I eat or what medication I take seems to affect both this and the reflux. However, as suggested it would be wise for you to see your GP again as something may have changed from last year. I think you need to see him also if only for your own peace of mind.

Hope you are feeling better soon, let us know how you go, love Angela xx

IBS and GERD (reflux) are individual diagnoses in themselves. Its common to get them with Fibro but should still be properly diagnosed, and that includes ruling out everything else that could cause those symptoms, including food intolerances and medication side effects, as well as the more serious inflammatory bowel diseases, ulcers, etc.

Yes this seems to be a common occurance! I had my gall bladder removed but still experience problems... IBS and the medication! I have to watch fatty foods, pastry & bread (anything made with wheat), pickles (anything with vinegar in), yeast, and alcohol. I take omeprazole.
