Backlog is such a cliche too. Can't they find another excuse? :(

Hey, backlog is a word. cliché is only when the autocorrect works.

Hello Elsiegirl,

I think many are experiencing a long wait for their replies about benefit claims. I know my ESA50 was sent in August last year and I still haven't received a reply. I rang ATOS who said that it had been sent to the decision makers which was a relief so I am a bit closer to finding out about their response, I think ! Hope !

I think they are a bit overwhelmed with all the workload, due to welfare reform but as mentioned before shouldn't they have made extra provision to deal with the increase in claims ! Or did they and they still cannot cope with the workload hence the delays??

I hope you find out soon

Best Wishes

Emma :)

Hi elsiegirl

I do not have any benefits like this and have never been through anything like this either. I can imagine that it is frustrating, frightening and anxiety in the making. So, I just wanted to wish you well and good luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you.

Hi, unfortunate there are lots if us in the same boat with this. I applied for PIP in June and I was assessed in December and I'm still waiting to hear the outcome. I also have an ongoing isuue with ESA I asked to be reassessed in Nov as I wasn't put in support group the previous feb & my condition has got worse. I am due for reassessment next month anyway for ESA but I still haven't heard anything from them in eith count. When u ting Atos they say they don't work to timescales, It's a mess.

Hi Elsie

I think that maybe you should ring ATOS again to see if they have any information for you.

I applied in july had my face to face assessment on 17th october i phoned them in january and now am waiting as ATOS finished with my claim and it was sent to DWP on the 13th january so any day now i should know the outcome...

So keep phoning them Good Luck hope you get some good news

Gentle Hugs
