Hi I was just wondering if I could have some advice please? I’ve being put on the waiting list for a lap operation but I haven’t being fully diagnosed with pcos Doctors said I have it but hospital and Gynacoligy said I haven’t , they said I’ve got pelvic inflammatory disease can you have surgery to get rid of it? And for the pain to go away? I’ve being in pain for a couple of years but it seems to be worse some days and some days it will be fine? Iam scared about my fertility as well I had a miscarriage a year this month! 😢 that’s getting me down as well! I’ve being put on Norethisterone to help with the pain iam not sure what is actually up with me or if I actually need surgery, me and my partner are trying for a baby but haven’t had any luck since we started to try , nobody will give me any chlomid or anything else , I was told that Norethisterone helps people ovulate and helps people to get pregnant ? Iam so confused and feel so down with it all , any advise please? Thanks Amelia! X x sorry with the massive paragraph

Hi Amelia, sorry to hear about your loss. I had a laparoscopy last year as part of ongoing investigations to my pelvic pain and for fertility reasons too. The surgery itself was fine and I took a week off to rest afterwards. Invest in peppermint oil pills they really helped disperse the gas after! I'm not sure about the drugs side, but I do know they do surgery to really see for themselves what's happening. I personally found when I ate really well and have been active it helps things like circulation and hormones. Good luck, and you're not alone!
