12dp5dt negative test :-(

Hi All, I caved and did a test 12dp5dt and its a negative result. Ive tried a couple. Is it all over for me, as I had 2 x 5 day blast transferred and it normally you can get a positive result from day 6 onwards. So devastated and sad !

Saturday 9th December which would be day 16, but I know last time I got a positive result from day 6 onwards

I got a very faint BFP at day 6 on a first response, but I know lots of people don’t get BFPs with FETs until late on. Hopefully yours is just a late implanter xxxx

Honey some of the HPT don't pick up low HCG hence it would show you a negative... HCG double every 48 hours and I would suggest you test with the cheapie internet ones as that detects low HCG on the market.

I got my BFP on the regular boots stick after getting 9 negatives on these only after which I ordered the cheapie ones which showed positive, then after a few days along the line I got a positive on the boots one too.

thanks I've tested using the cheap ones and normal expensive ones, I think I'm out !

Don't be certain of a BFN without a beta. I'd suggest that you stay calm for now till you're OTD. There can be a number of reasons for a false negative on HPT and the least you can do is risk the pregnancy by being upset over that. Stay optimistic let the hormone balance aid the pregnancy if any.

Thanks but this is my 2nd fet. My last fet I used the same early pregnancy tests and got a positive but miscarried. My clinic only does hpt tests not beta , thanks for your support !

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! I've had 2 chemical pregnancies when I was in early TTC. It's a whole type of hell to be in all that. I'm glad you didn't get discouraged and already moved on to your next try. I wish you get all the luck in the words on your side! Some clinics just rely on HPT. I don't think that's enough at times so if you have doubts go for a beta.

When is your OTD? Did you checked on HPT or had a beta? At 12dp5dt there should be BFP in beta. The HPT however can be a little late. Sometimes, first IVF fails, I know it's too frustrating and devastating but mine failed too. I have 6 years old twins now. So don't lose hope just yet. Sending baby dust! XOXO
