Anyone know the optimal progesterone range for day of FET? (Question for my sister!)

Hi lovely people,

I hope you are all well. My sister finally had her only euploid embryo from several ICSI rounds transferred on Saturday. She is feeling a little stressed as her clinic prefers a progesterone level above 80 on the day of transfer and hers was 50 (supplements upped since). I’ve tried to work out what the optimal level is by Googling but it’s so confusing, and I can’t for the life of me remember what level my clinic considered okay.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the levels should ideally be.

Thanks so much,

xxx

Best not to go down Google rabbit hole ! 50 is good and with the extra will soon increase Good luck for your sister and it is great she has you for support

Take care

Thanks Janet That's reassuring!

Hi Redsequin

My clinic was happy with progesterone >30 pretransfer and mine was 12 on the day of transfer!! So no where near the optimum range.

I know some clinics in London like the progesterone above 80.

I’m currently on 800mg twice a day of cyclogest and started lubion on the day of transfer. I think it was above 100 when I checked it at 6 weeks.

Good luck to your sister

Ah okay so by your clinic's measure 50 is great!

My clinic doesn't even check for progesterne levels as they say it is not known what a good number is. Good luck!

Thanks lovely.

mine was 53 on day of transfer I think, my clinic liked it to be over 100 but they said that was unusual and most clinics would be happy with 50. They added Lentogest to the mix and I was over 100 a week later x

My clinic like it above 30. Mine was 59 on transfer day I think (on my successful transfer). So your Sister's level should be fine. Hope its works out for her.

Hope you and baby are well 🙂 x

That's reassuring to hear. I think her test day is soon, so at least she won't have to wonder and fret anymore. I really feel for her: the 2ww is a special kind of hell!

We are good thank you, lovely 💜 hope the pregnancy is progressing well and you're not too uncomfortable.

yes, I bet! I often wonder how parents of twins manage those early weeks 🫠
