Hi lovelies can I pick your brains??

My daughter has chicken pox & I am 5 days into down regs on a freeze all cycle.

I had chicken pox myself as a child so I think I should technically be ok but is this something I need to flag with my consultant?

(Although she usually takes about 2 weeks to reply so I could be finished by then 🤯)

You are considered immune if you have had chicken pox. I’d still raise it just to put your mind at rest x

You should be immune until you are around 50 something. For chickenpox immunity wanes with age or when you natural defenses are low... then you can get something called "shingles" which is a different presentation chickenpox, by the same virus but more common in adults. As you are pregnant and your defenses might be a bit low now, the best thing is to tell your doctor.

Hi Candlewax. If you have had chickenpox you are OK. If not, then you have to wait until the last scab has dried on your daughter for her not to be contagious. Good luck! Diane
