I've been booked in for an pelvis ultrasound (think 3d) at the hospital (I was supposed to have with my hysteroscopy but no time) but does anyone know if this will tell much more than the hysteroscopy and usual scans during a cycle? I'm unsure how it differs.
Thank you!

Hi,I had a hysteroscopy and they discovered a sub septate uterus, but couldn't be sure and didn't know how big it was. I was then recommended a 3 d scan, so they could see what they were dealing with. The 3d scan gives you a better idea of any obstructions.
It is carry out in the same way as any pelvic scan [2 -D imaging ] it just gives a more detailed view as it is three dimensional The scan should be explained to you before it is carried out - if not ask questions Good luck for the future
