Progesterone exhaustion

Hello all, I had my EC last Saturday and transfer on Tuesday. I’m on 3x progesterone suppository per day. I’m absolutely exhausted and have been since last Sunday. So tired I find it hard to focus on a book, tv or any light tasks. I’m told to continue about your normal day but can barely function. I’m assuming it’s the progesterone. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi ShaniiIt will be due in part to the hormones and this has been a stressful time for you

You just need to rest up and take things easy

Thinking of you

Thank you! It’s tough not to give myself a hard time for feeling lazy. Thanks so much for the reply x

What's that crazy talk??? Do you realise what your body is doing right now and what the hormones are doing to it?? Now is THE time to be lazy, all day everyday if you want to. Rest up, cut off any external drama, I am a news junkie so I uninstalled all news apps (I have watched 2, 3hrs of world news and commentary daily since I was 20 so a big deal..) I hired a cleaner on a one off basis (there are apps for that), I batch cooked healthy things in good moments and absolutely lazied about eating ice cream and watching netflix since just before egg collection until after embryo transfer. Guilty towards whom? Fck that.. Take care of yourself because you're (with a sprinkle of help from science) performing a bloody miracle right now. Best of luck 😘😘😘

Thank you - I needed some straight talking! Hope your cycle is going well.

Hi Shanii, I am on progesterone as well at the moment and also feeling exhausted. Every afternoon I can’t keep my eyes open. I am only on two suppositories a day so I can’t imagine how bad it must be on three. I can’t remember it being this bad the last times I was on it but it is tough this time. Hang in there and rest as much as you can. Fingers crossed it is all worth it xx

Thank you for responding! Makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one. I’m looking at all the chores that need doing and getting better at ignoring them 😀. Hope you get your energy back soon. Plus the heat must have an impact too I’m guessing.

Definitely better knowing you are not alone! I have chores piling up too but they will get done when they get done! The heat is really not helping but it is nice to sit outside in the shade and admire the beautiful blue sky. Take care xx

Hi I am feeling the same after my egg collection yesterday. Drained! I haven't take much progesterone yet though. I think it's a lot to do with the heat as my brain is all fogged up. The uncertainty is exhausting too. Make sure you have plenty of ice cold drinks and be kind to yourself!

in reply to Savvy_teapot

You’re right, the uncertainty and mental energy spent on this is absolutely exhausting.

Hi Shanii, I've had terrible side effects on progesterone too after EC, exhaustion, heat sensitivity, nausea. Drink a lot of water and rest as much as you can. Now is the time to do it! x

Sorry to hear this but also comforting to know there’s others out there feeling the same. Little bit cooler today so hopefully you’ll feel less wiped out.
