Covid recovery for next cycle

Hello,

Unfortunately I've had covid so I had a cancelled transfer. So gutting but now looking forward. Thing is the clinic states I need a negative pcr test but on research this can still show positive up to 90 days. Other clinics are not asking for thus, just for 28 days to recover.

So...anyone recovered that can share how long til they tested negative and got going again with treatment please?

Feel extra isolated in this situation.

Thank you x

So sorry, I have no advice to offer but just wanted to say I know how hard it is, I’ve had delays for various reasons and it always feels like each week’s delay lasts an eternity…. Wishing you well, and strength, and take care of yourself and find something to focus on during the delay, whatever it ends up being 💪🙏 xx

Thank you so much. The waiting is the worst. Hopefully I can get back to it ASAP. X

Hi Ttcbytge sea, I have had the exact same thing happen to me and we had to cancel transfer, originally it was just my husband that had it and the nurse said I can start again on my next period but I’ve since tested positive for it also, are your clinic ok with you doing it on your next cycle? have you tried another Covid test is it still coming up positive? I haven’t discussed with my clinic yet that I have it as I was worried they would make me wait 90 days and I don’t think that’s necessary

Hi ya yes since this they've said I don't need a PCR test as I questioned it cos of the 90 day think so now I just need 28 days since positive covid test. Will need to do lateral flow. Is it PCR you're still positive on? lateral flow was ok for me. HFEA guidelines is 28 days no retesting so quoted this to them. X

Thank you Trcbythesea this hs made me feel better, I still have Covid and only had it confirmed with a PCR test a couple of days ago, my clinic only require a lateral flow test but I thought they can show up positive for a while after aswell but it sounds like that’s not the case so fingers crossed, how long after you tested positive did your lateral flow turn negative? is the recommendation 28 days clear from Covid to transfer or start of medication?

I tested i think day 11. I think its to starting treatment so I should be ok just hoping no early period! My clinic normally only ask for lateral flow but at first wanted PCR but questioned it thankfully! How you feeling? Its so stressful I think I was worse mentally! X

Hopefully mine will show negative pretty quickly then 🤞🏻 I feel ok just a bit tired and achey, I’ve had both my vaccines so think that’s helped me not get it to bad. I was gutted I had to cancel treatment when I had already started medication but I was relieved when they said I could start again on my next cycle, I hope everything goes well for your treatment 🤞🏻 x

Same as me. So had cramping while shedding it on top! Then headaches which could have been hormones or covid! Thank you, and you x

Thank you, it sounds like the lateral flow aren’t as sensitive as the PCR, my lateral flow came up positive in seconds the day I found out I had it x

I thought might not be as sensitive but it’s still not picking up 4days since my pcr 🙈 xx

Could you have had it earlier than you thought and that’s why the lateral flow aren’t picking it up x

My hubby tested positive last wed so we’ve been isolating but I’ve had no symptoms but got myself and little boy tested as he was really unwell mine can back positive his was negative 🤷‍♀️ but I took pcr on the wed and flow on thur and not picked it up at all not even slightly faint 🤷‍♀️ even tested flow today and still not picked up. Weird. X

Strange that. Maybe could try another PCR to be sure.

I think the lateral flow tests only show up positive if you are contagious if that makes any difference x
