Has anyone had an "almost blastocyst" transferred??

I had my transfer today and they put in two embryos...one that was a blastocyst graded 2BB and then one which was "turning into a blastocyst but wasn't there yet".

Has anyone else had a day 5 transfer with something that wasn't quite a blastocyst?

I had my transfer last Wednesday and had two 'early blasts' put in - we weren't given grades as they weren't quite there yet?! They put two in as they looked poor quality, the one wasn't doing great and the other that apparently was ok in the morning wasn't looking good at the time of transfer 🤷. I was absolutely devastated when they said we had a very low chance on conception and I just couldn't take it all the info. We couldn't freeze either of them due to their quality so we asked for them both to be put. Will see what our test says before we ask more questions as I have so many but don't want the added stress while we are waiting.

I'm so sorry your transfer has been stressful. My almost blast was still trucking just was behind the other one, but they didn't say anything about chances for me or quality on that one, we were just all so happy I got to transfer as I never had before.

This process is so hard. I hope you're finding something to help distract you guys from this next week until you get your results. 💕

It was really quite strange, the embryologist we spoke to in the morning told me they had made it to day 5 and one was looking better than the other. Then at the time of transfer this embryologist came in who I had never spoken to before basically telling me there was no hope and she needed to be transparent, they were very poor quality etc etc. It was such a devastating shock as none of the others had painted such a sad picture as this one did it took me completely by surprise! I'm so glad you made it to transfer and that you didn't get any rubbish news like we did 🙄🙄. Trying very hard to stay busy but definitely have some low moments that is for sure! The 2ww is the worst. My transfer was also an early blastocyst and I’m now 22 weeks pregnant. They froze the other one on day 6, by which time it was an expanded blastocyst xx

Hi! I’m 6w5d pregnant with what was not even an early blast on the day of transfer - I think they called it a cavitating morula. I have my dating scan later today!

Hi. I had two embryos transferred which were so badly developed and fragmented they couldn’t even grade or say they had reached blastocyst however, I had a healthy baby girl from that transfer. 💞

I had a day 5 3cc blastocyst, 1 upgradeable blastocyst and a morula put in and I now have a 17day old baby girl. Good luck hopefully 1 will make it
