Possible missed miscarriage!

Hi all just wondered if anyone has experienced this or your thoughts on it!

So we had another embryo transfer in January, I did first response tests on day 7 and 9 and a clear blue on OTD 10dp5dt all came back negative so stopped the cyclogest and lubion and AF arrived 3 days later little bit lighter than normal but otherwise OK. So while we're waiting for NK cells test we thought we'll try ourselves so started ovulation testing on day 12 as usual as I have a pretty regular cycle every 28 to 31 days however by day 16 I still hadn't had a surge then on day 22 AF arrived almost a full week early really heavy still on day 4 and lots of clots (sorry!!) So I'm wondering if it's just the meds playing havoc with my cycle or could it have been a missed miscarriage and my OTD was to early??

Any thoughts would be greatful 🙏 x

Hi, I had something similar in my first cycle - I had a bleed after stopping meds and my period after that was much heavier, a few days late and much more horrendous. It’s probably just your body trying to get back to normal. Hopefully your next period will be normal x

Hi thanks for replying ☺

My transfer in December was similar to yours, negative test and AF arriving late but this period has come almost a week early which never happens in my cycles but I agree it probably is just the meds!! 🤷‍♀️

Hi lovely, this type of thing is a normal reaction to the hormones, so it is probably just that! Best of luck xo

It does sound like the meds messing with your cycle. A "missed miscarriage" is when you think you're still pregnant but the foetus's heart has stopped beating and your body just hasn't recognised yet that it needs to expel the pregnancy, often this is something you discover when you go for your 12-week scan and then you need medical help via either surgery or medication to remove the failed pregnancy x
