It’s a BFN! 😞

Unfortunately our IVF journey is over. We did our test today, OTD with first morning urine and it’s a BFN we are self funding and we just can’t afford to do it again and at the age of 42 time is totally against us.

Devastated doesn’t come close to explain how we both feel right now. We were so positive and convinced this would work given all the symptoms etc but I guess it’s just not mean to be.

This truly is one of the hardest things to go through. All the injections, drugs, side affects, emotions, pain, hope, heartache, indignities (as I write this I have my trousers round my knees and a castor oil pack on my abdomen). I’m so sorry you’ve not had a positive. Time is a great healer and I really hope it helps you to come to terms with it. Sending you love and strength and hoping for better times xxx

I'm so sorry to read this! Take this time to heal and take care of yourself. BFN are the worst and totally gut you. I have felt it myself and don't wish it on anyone. Hang in there. Hopefully you can figure out a way to try again in the future!

I am truly sorry for the news. I had a negative result on my first IVF , i just thought I lot a battle but not the war!I know it is hard on the finance, but if eventually you manage to be in a better position, there is a different IVF (which is cheaper too), it is called " natural or modified IVF" it is supposed to help women over 40s , or with low AMH, treatment is based on the quality of the eggs and not quantity. So the scan checks your blood flood and other things than other clinics don't.

My friend went through this and got pregnant at the age of 45. Please don't be defeated, there is always a solution even if it is in another country! Be positive and god give you strength for your next step.

At age of 42 you still have chance, do not lose hope. There are so many examples proving it. And the financial part, I know it is hard but you can consider an option abroad. I am originally from Bulgaria and I know for certain that prices there are much better than here. There is always a solution!
