Egg collection tomorrow

I'm so glad the day has come, and I'm also glad I've taken my last drugs, I am an emotional wreck and haven't stopped crying for days, can't wait to feel normal again, does anyone know how long it takes for the drugs to wear off once you've finished them?

I am also a little worried that I will feel it as I have read mixed experiences X

Hi Bernie, Are you having sedation or other? I had sedation with my two cycles and I didn't remember a thing, I woke up feeling calm and a little tired, that was it.

Hi Bernie- all the best for tomorrow! I had my egg collection yesterday and it was great. I didn't feel anything and was completely sedated for the whole procedure. Woke up feeling a little groggy but it soon passed. I hope you start feeling better soon. I haven't really had any side affects from the drugs, sounds like you are going through a lot xx

Good luck for tomorrow!! 🤞✨🤞 It's funny as I have just text my friend saying I only have 2 nights of injections yet and I'm SO glad as these pesky drugs are making me feel horrible. It will all be worth it I'm sure. Xxx

Good luck for tomorrow! The sedation I had (called gin and tonic haha) meant that I knew kind of what was going on in the room, kind of like a background soundtrack 🙂 but definitely no pain during the procedure, sure you'll be absolutely fine 👍 xx

Hi lovely, I had egg collection back in july ..it was the best part of the process..I loved it !! ( even though I was absolutely terrified before it) I had sedation and had no idea what on earth was going on! ( but do remember sitting bolt upright in the procedure and blurting something out! 🤣) Came round quickly in recovery and felt fine the rest of the day.

The EC itself is not painful at all, they will put you at ease I hope once you are there and it was over before you know it. It is weird, I felt I was awake, but I also can’t remember much at all 😂 No idea how long it took. It was a little sore for a few days after - so do take it easy. My nurses advised me to take Paracetamol and not wait for it to be painful, and I am glad I did. But that passes too 🥰 Wishing you all the best for EC tomorrow!!

Best of luck for your egg collection. I had mine a couple of weeks ago and thought it was fab!! It was nice to have a little snooze and I didn't feel like anything had happened at all afterwaard!! Wishing you the best!! Xx
