ICSI success stories - 8dpt?

Hi all,

I’m new to this forum and looking for some positive vibes and support! I’m 8dpt, I had a 5AA grade hatching blastocysts transferred last Wednesday and 5 good quality embryos frozen so felt very grateful.

I’ve just turned 30 and turned to IVF ICSI due to male factor sub-fertility. This is our first cycle.

I’ve been so anxious, but really trying to keep myself calm and relaxed. I’m on progesterone and barely have any symptoms of any sorts. I’ve had on and off bood twinges, cramping and chills but rarely noticeable and again I know they could be either progesterone related of AF related.

I’ve got my blood test tomorrow to check HCG and I’m really terrified of this failing.

Any positive stories out there? Xx

Good morning . I’m the same as you 😀 I’m 32 and 8dp5dt using a fresh grade a embryo with ICSI . It’s my first attempt . I did a first response pregnancy test yesterday that said I was pregnant , but I still have to have this confirmed with my blood test this Monday ! The only symptom I’ve had is tender boobs ! But some women don’t get any at all. Your so lucky to of had 5 good quality embryos aswell . wishing you lots of luck xx

Congratulations, that’s so lovely to hear! I’ve been so afraid of taking a pregnancy test because I don’t think I could handle seeing a negative result. I know I’ll have to find out soon, and will do with my blood test tomorrow but I am really anxious about it because I barely have any symptoms. I also feel like because my consultant and embryologist felt really confident, on paper it should all be okay but really it’s not guaranteed.

I know I’m lucky to have good embryo and with age on my side, I should feel positive. It’s just hard when you want something so much!

Have you told your consultant that you’ve got a positive? Wishing you lots of luck too. Thank you for responding to me xx

I was so anxious about taking the test aswell ! I told myself I wouldn’t but had one lying around and caved !! A few days ago I was so negative about it all . I didn’t think it was working because really I didn’t have any symptoms apart from sore boobs (which I thought could be the progesterone gel) . I think In this waiting period we are all feeling like this because we won’t it so bad so naturally you will feel nervous and think it’s not working ! A lot of woman get no symptoms at all . We are looking for something constantly for reassurance but people that get pregnant naturally don’t even know there pregnant until months later sometimes ! Everyone says this but you must be positive and keep yourself busy Because you can’t change anything now you just have to be confident . And if it wasn’t the answer you want this time at least you have a good other 4 quality embryos ! I’m certain it will happen for you !!

Keep me updated on how you get on tomorrow ! Fingers crossed for you xxx

I’m really trying to keep positive.. lots of yoga, walks and resting. I’m back on work today for the day and then off for tomorrow so hopefully I’ll be distracted today.

I’ll keep you posted with how I get on. Hope things go well for you too xxx

Could’ve written this myself, had a 5aa transferred after ICSI and I had absolutely no symptoms and convinced myself AF was on its way so tested at 7dp5dt and got a very strong positive, that 5aa embryo is now nearly one. Well done getting a good number of Frosties too that’s amazing! Good luck on your journey 🌟
