OTD BFN 11dp5dt & Era test

ā€¢7 Replies

Hi everyone,

So today was OTD 11dp5dt and a BFN šŸ˜ž didnā€™t think it had worked as had Aunt Flo symptoms exactly like period, only thing I havenā€™t had is a bleed. But have stopped taking medication so guess this will be any time over next few days and progesterone can delay period.

Presume I should stop all meds clinic didnā€™t say to retest although some people seem to test day 13 or 14!? Any thoughts? 99% sure itā€™s negative.

Also I live in East of England and would like to hear from people from people on where they have had an ERA test and does this have to be done at your IVF clinic as my clinic doesnā€™t do it presume I can buy meds myself and hope local hospital who I have my scans with ( as am satellite patient) can scan and then I just go to another hospital who does the test for biopsy? Any help appreciated. Pm me if you would prefer to provide clinic details.

Am quite numb atm after negative am sure it will hit me soon.

Love to you all and positive vibes to all going thru their fertility journey xx

Hi coral im so sorry you going through this. Its just heartbreaking after all the hope and buildup to the day.

I just wanted to say that personally i would retest (this is also recommended by my clinic) and therefor take the meds for two more days. Just to make sure. Did you ask your clinic to stop meds?

Hey coral, I'm so sorry that you've gotten a BFN. My clinic usually say to stay on meds and retest in a couple of days but usually by day 12 if nothing then I dont bother especially if using an FRER. I had an ERA done in London and my clinic is in Athens. We just used to the protocol recommendation that came back for future planning of FETs. There are more and more places doing this and would look around as it seems to vary greatly cost wise. Mine was around Ā£1250 for the EMMA/ALICE/EMMA but think that's gone up now. I'll PM you.xx

Gutted for you lovely, sending you enormous hugs xx

I am really sorry to hear that you had a negative ā˜¹ļøšŸ¤— I did ERA test in August in Spain where I am actually doing my treatment. I wanted to have it done in UK because of the quarantine restrictions and I looked to do it in Oxford as is close to where I live but the price was sooo expensive Ā£1500, comparing with my clinic in Spain 530 euro. I flew and returned on the same day, ticket was so cheap I think around Ā£30. Probably you are not looking to go abroad to have it done but I thought I should share my experience with you.

Take care šŸ’•
