Has anyone gone ahead with a fresh transfer despite having high progesterone at egg collection day?

Hi All,

. Im waiting to hear if my only 2 eggs fertilised. My progesterone is at 6 and my clinic said 5 is the cut off point for the implanatation window. They said i have 2 options:

1. if my 2 eggs get to blacstocyst then i can have Fet and this is what is preferred by the clinic as they believe i may have missed the implantation window and so my uterus would not be very receptive to any embyo

2. They could just do a day 2 transfer and chance it as the embryos will be in the correct environment. However my issue is if im seemingly passed the implantation window (determined by my progesterone level of 6), then is it pointless to have them put it?

Any comments or experiences in regards to this would be much appreciated. Progeserone level was not a complication i was expecting.

Thank you in advance for any comments.

I had the same thing on my last round and the clinic strongly suggested freezing any embryos and doing an FET when the progesterone was right. I was devastated but agreed it was the best thing to do xxx

Hi Millbanks, thanks for your reply. At which stage did they freeze your embryo? My clinic said that they will do a day2 freeze as its my only embryo. So far my embryo has divided to 3 cells and is grade 2.

Did you have a successful live birth?

Hi Joey, they froze mine at day 5 and we had an FET the following cycle. Unfortunately it didn’t take but it could have been any number of factors so please don’t take my experience as what will happen to you xx
