Hi girls.

First of all sending all my love to everyone going through any phase of of their journey x

I always see this platform as a huge support and really appreciate the knowledge share.

A question on my mind is when did you stop certain supplements? I read some conflicting advice on the internet.

Im on

- prenatal

- vitamin d (complex with calcium/zinc/ copper/magnese/selenium / boron)

- vitamin c

- vitamin e

- fish oil

- cq10 300

- follic accid d 5mg

The folic acid i was prescribed and vitamin d i was deficient of last winter.

Anything i need to discontinue?

Thanks x

Hi, I think I discontinued CoQ10 and anything else risky / unknown during the 2ww. Once I got BFN I was straight back on everything though, ready for next time 🤞 Long term they can all help support egg / sperm quality and natural pregnancy so no need to stop in between I believe xx

That makes sense.. was i guess wondering if it could help preventing miscarriages but wont take the risk xx hope you feel better xx

CoQ10 is for egg quality I think so can be stopped. I also stopped vitamin E as was using it to build the lining mostly. Only ones my clinic says you have to take is folic acid and vitamin D, but I take a prenatal.

Thanks Kseye. With a cp in the pocket i might continue my vitame e as i read it might help the implantation? Xx

Hi, after transfer I continued with prenatals, coq10, folate, omega3, and vitamin D as my clinic said I should continue till 12 week as pregnancy was confirmed. The day I had my positive beta result I stopped coq10 but continued with others. Hope this helps, which you all the blessings and good news in your journey. x

Hi,

I took all of these supplements until the end of my first trimester. After 14 weeks I reduced my COQ10 from 300mg to 150mg for the rest of my pregnancy. I took folate as a more natural form of folic acid also until week 14 and then stopped. The folate in your prenatal should be sufficient after that. If you want to continue folate after week 14, perhaps try to take the natural form and stop by your third trimester as too high levels at birth can cause withdrawals in the baby. The rest of the supplements I took throughout my pregnancy.

Thank you so much Alexa. This is so interesting. I have read the benefits of continued use of coq10 but cant really figure out if is beneficial to avoid miscarriage xx
