I’ve deliberately not posted and have actually been very quiet on here for a good reason! I’m still not sure whether people will find this helpful/ encouraging or not but I’m hoping the positive will outweigh anything else. I know it’s been such a tough tough time for everyone with treatment being delayed (myself included). The long and the short of it is, I’m pregnant! I found out 2 weeks ago, in the middle of lockdown, and as you can imagine, I was absolutely gobsmacked. I still am to be honest. I had a scan on Friday and we have a heartbeat and I will be 7 weeks today. I will have another scan in just over 2 weeks. At the moment I’m just taking one day at a time. I had a mmc before between 7-9 weeks so I’m not allowing myself to get excited. The anxiety is pretty overwhelming at times but I’m having weekly counselling to try and get it in check. I don’t know if you can ever have a ‘normal’ worry free pregnancy after fertility treatment and a miscarriage etc.
Just wanted to update you on our journey I guess and say that I’m thinking of everyone hopefully starting treatment again soon. It’s a very stressful time and I feel for everyone going through it.

No, completely understand, that anxiety is hard to manage when you had suffered loss before but as you say.....one day at a time!! Nothing much happening with me, Athens has coped really well with Covid, they only have around 149 deaths so far and are coming out of lock down however it is being monitored very closely and they havent opened borders yet. Trying to be patient for more news, they are hoping to allow tourists in after July 1st so just watching this space really. Look after yourself!xx

You are right you won’t be able to relax - it’s very hard - but I wish you all the best and hope your pregnancy continues perfectly - such a blessing and such good news at this strange time. Xxx

Huge congrats and all the very best of luck. I found out two days ago that I was, after TTC , surgery, IVF referral. Still in shock. My gp has been great and arranged an early scan for me soon to check it’s not ectopic as i’m high risk. All the very best and i’m sure will give hope to others

This is wonderful news. Congratulations xxx do you mind me asking do you think the counselling is helping. I’m having a really tough time at the moment and wonder if it would help but with the lockdown I don’t know where to start looking for help xxx
Hey hun, thank you. Yes I’ve had loads of counselling and it’s always helped! I’ve had some really dark times going through IVF so I couldn’t recommend it enough. Does your clinic offer counselling? Normally they do so I would start with them as you will get specific fertility counselling. That has helped me and they will be doing phone consultations now if they do offer it. Otherwise the current counselling I’m having is CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) through my local GP. They referred me and now I have weekly calls with her. It’s not fertility specific but we tailor it to my fertility anxiety which is really helpful. I would get a call with your GP and see what they can do. Don’t be at all worried to say that you are suffering with a lot of anxiety and need help. I’m sure they will do what they can to assist. Good luck xx
That’s really helpful thank you. I’m going to take some active steps because it’s affecting my mood daily and it’s so unfair on my husband and kids. I’ve got spotting most days and when I see it I just plummet into a dark place which combined with lockdown is horrendous. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xxxx
That'll be difficult! But if I'm honest, as soon as you leave the scan it all starts again lol. I've got a 16week scan last week and it will have been 4 weeks since precious scan and 4 weeks until 20 week xx
Oh god! Just take one day at a time then. I think it’s just really bad at the mo as I have previously miscarried between 7-9 weeks which is where I am now. Hopefully once I’m passed that stage things might get a bit easier! Good luck for your 20 weeks xx
Yeah it's difficult until you get passed that stage, I was 10 weeks but baby was 6 so at viability scan we had already got passed that but i still didnt believe it lol. Sorry that was meant to say next week, only 15 weeks today. You will get there, wishing you the best of luck xxx

This is amazing news! It’s so good to hear success stories. Sending you lots of positive thoughts to ease your anxiety. I use the Neom stress relief pulse point it’s about £8 and it’s amazing! and listen to anxiety calming music on you tube. I’m now 21 weeks pregnant and it really works!
