Hi guys I'm so scared of the miscarriage pain 😢

Hi everyone started to spot which is good because my body has started to recognise the miscarriage But I'm shitting my self! Is miscarriage very painful? I have given birth before and that was very painful is it similar? Really want a vacuum suction done thinking about it. Is it too late since I'm spotting?

Personally I didn’t find it that painful just uncomfortable. I got a lot of backache and a few cramps (just like period pain) it only lasted a couple of days but nothing too bad. So sorry for your loss 💕

So so sorry you’re going through this. I was really scared too, but it was just like period cramps and backache for me as well. Hope it’s not too bad for you either. Look after yourself 💕💕 xx

Oh lovely, I’m so sorry you’re going through this 😢. I’ve just had a mmc and had vacuum suction, my body just wasn’t ready to let go.

I’m sorry I can’t help you with a natural miscarriage I have been told it’s like a heavy period. Look after yourself, take care 💖💖

With the vacum suction what were the risks? Xx

Thank you lovely ❤️ It’s hard at the moment, like everyone I can’t go and see family and friends and unable to plan for the future. Just makes it worse somehow. I’m also the wrong dude if 40 😢

For me, we had a spontaneous natural pregnancy while we were injecting on our last cycle, it was such a shock but the little bean stuck and grew, we saw it’s little heartbeat but it stopped just before I was 9 wks.

I had a d&c 2 years ago again for a mmc that was under general anaesthetic.

They told me that with the pandemic they would not do surgery as they need the oxygen which I understand.

They said that I could have a medicated miscarriage but as it seemed by body was holding on to go with the option Of the vacuum, due to everything going on, the risks are the same as d&c there’s always a risk of scaring, minor damage to the cervix, heavy bleeding, risk of infection, these however are all low but they have to tell you.

They gave me antibiotics before the procedure.

Everyone is different on how the manage it. I would of hoped to have it naturally , with the vacuum you are a wake, they do use a numbing injection into your cervix, but it is uncomfortable!

I had it done just over a wk ago, the bleeding is now just spotting.

Have you taken any pain relief? Please call the early pregnancy unit, they are here to help you, I wish I could do more ❤️Xx

in reply to Miracle43

No I have took no pain relief. I'm not in any pain yet.. I have spoken to epau and they agree that mva is less risky.. been told to ring gp and to get a referral sent to the hospital. Once I have the appointment will ask the doctor the questions at the hospital about would the mva ruin my lining my fertility etc..xx

I don’t think it would ruin your lining, it’s just one of the possible risks they have to tell you about.

I’m here if I can help you ❤️

Oh lovely 😞, I’m so sorry.

I just hope that it’s over quickly. If you do feel discomfort, please take some pain relief. Might be worth taking some so it will ease it if you do have some xx

My husband stayed in the car, for me I was there for just over 2 1/2 hrs, I was too upset to drive, also sore, had been on gas and air and strong painkillers xx

Hi Eram. Haven't given birth, so can't attest to that, but the pain is going to super vary from person to person (and miscarriage to miscarriage I imagine). My miscarriage wasn't more painful than a period for me. To begin with, anyway - a week later I had a clot that needed taking out and that was quite painful - difficult to stand and go to the loo etc. Are you saying you want surgical management? You should give your clinic a call, or failing that your local early pregnancy unit/NHS. I know there's coronavirus going on, but that doesn't stop non-coronavirus medical issues like this! xxxxx

Hi I’m so sorry your going through this 💔 Due to the coronavirus I wasn’t given option for surgery and had agreed to mva but in the end I was too upset and found the injections too sore for that. I then agreed to go with medical management I had 4 tablets and given strong painkillers then sent home to let things happen. The pain wasn’t as bad as I thought at its worst during that night but painkillers taken the edge off it, the bleeding was like a very heavy period in the end. Thinking of you ❤️❤️❤️ xx

in reply to Kurstx

Hi Kurtz I'm so sorry for your loss it is horrible 😔 may I ask did all the tissue leave your system? Xx

Kurstx profile image
Kurstx in reply to

Thank you ❤️ I was given a scan a couple of days after as I didn’t think I had passed much but the pregnancy had passed although my lining was still very thick. I have to test a week on Monday to make sure it is negative and all tissue has been expelled. It really is horrible thinking of you 😢❤️ xx

in reply to Kurstx

Thanks hun 😔 xx I have accepted the miscarriage.. but just want my body to do its job natrually and miscarry but seems slow. How far gone were you? Xx what grade was the embryo you lost? Did you have any signs before the mc?

It’s not easy sending you lots of ❤️and I hope things progress soon for you ❤️ I was 9w 1 when we found out baby stopped developing at 7w 1 😢. I had been measuring behind on 2 previous scans one private and one at clinic they weren’t to bothered about that though but I knew something wasn’t right 😢. That is really the only signs I had other than pain in my right side and in scan pics my yolk sac was large the epu advised me that is usually a bad sign but this wasn’t told to me by clinic before hand. My embryo was graded 4ab. I’m here if you need anything ❤️ xx

in reply to Kurstx

Omg Kurstx I was 9w 1 day when I found out and was told I am measuring 7wk 1 day.. but I had signs anyway bloods and previous scans... mine was 54aa top "quality" obviously not..

so it was obviously abnormal because me and husband are healthy... got doctors phone call tomorrow to discuss what happened and next steps... Was it your first go?

Kurstx profile image
Kurstx in reply to

It’s so hard and very cruel 😢. Yes I think even though you can have a top quality embryo it doesn’t mean they don’t have abnormal chromosomes unless you PGS test them but I don’t know about that either 🤷‍♀️. We are healthy and have 2 frozen embryos to use before next cycle but I’m anxious about that too. I hope I get to speak with my clinic soon 🤞🏼 where about is your clinic? Yea it was my 1st go it went perfectly until my mmc xx

I am in the same boat and super nervous about how painful it's going to be. This was my first pregnancy, so I have nothing to compare it to. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope all goes well for you, and you pass everything with minimal pain.

I'm sorry to hear your having to go through this lovely, miscarriage had some mild pain but absolutely nothing compared to labour and giving birth to my son who was born sleeping at 19 weeks. I used paracetamol, ibuprofen and a hot water bottle/wheatbag to help with the cramps and back pain and make sure you keep hydrated which can be such an easy think ti forget about when experiencing such a tragic event. I am so so sorry for your loss xxxx
