Happy to be on the scans section of this round of IVF! Yay!
Our clinic is 1.5 to 2 hours away so set off nice and early this morning. My parents picked me up as my husband needs to be in work this week.
Clinic was busy as usual these days. Receptionist was cranky as usual. You have to ask permission to enter through the intercom and they are not letting anyone in who has a cough/sneeze etc. Fair enough with the coronavirus, but it wasn't very friendly and it's not like I'm not going to come in!!!
Sooooo follicle-wise I had 9 on my right size and 11-12 on my left size, so 20ish overall! Quite happy with that! I have one at 12mm already, and then 10 of them are less than 6mm, but that means the rest aren't too bad. I am super happy with knowing I have 20 follicles even if half of them are small. They've upped my dose of Gonal-f to 300 and I'm in a good place.
Only weird thing was that I took my Cetrotide this morning, and the nurse said morning is correct (for my clinic/schedule), but I shouldn't have taken it this morning as I should have a scan first to see how my follicles are doing. So not entirely sure what that means...... that they should have not put it in my schedule for today or that they should have put in a scan for yesterday?! They said it's okay as I have one follicle above 12mm and so it's all worked out okay, but not to take Cetrotide before a scan in future. So if that comes up in a future schedule, I know to query it!

Silly silly clinics. All over the place! I am happy with today's appointment, though. Even if the nurse wasn't happy with me that I'd taken my Cetrotide as per the schedule. They try to add more stress to our plates!

Hey this is awesome news. I had my scan yesterday but did take Cetrotide as prescribed with no issues. I guess clinics work differently. We are on a similar path with our treatment. I’m wishing you all the best 🙏

You have to take Cetrotide when your follicles are reaching a certain size. They had to scan you first to see the sizes of them and after that to advise you when to start taking the injections. I had to take Cetrotide on day 4 of stimulation because my follicles were big, others are taking on day 5 or 6.
Anyway you have a good number of follicles, everything looks promising.
Thanks Ranchu! Yup, today was my day 6! Also my first scan date (since before the injections). I was definitely not taking Cetrotide out of self-choice. Would have gladly given that a miss this morning! Think they probably should have done a scan prior to day 6 of stims! Happy with my number of follicles, thanks. 😊😊😊
I am completely agree with you, they should have done an early scan not at day 6.
On my first IVF cycle they also did my first scan on day 6 and from all 20 follicles that I had only 6 eggs were collected and 3 mature 🥺, was heartbreaking. On my second IVF they probably learned and ask me to come on day 4 😁

I’m ok, I have cramps and I stupidly tested today with a cheapie at what I think is 7dpo 😕 (that’s if I ovulated at all this month!) and obviously was negative. So now I’m regretting that 🤦🏻♀️
