After all the uncertainty I got some eggs

Well ladies it hasn’t been a straight forward journey, there was even a fire alarm and we had to get evacuated at the hospital this morning 🙈 as if this cycle hasn’t been dramatic enough .

They got 13 eggs I don’t know if they are mature or not yet, I guess I’ll find out tomorrow when the embryologist phones with fertilisation results.

The doctor still thinks a freeze all round should be left on the table due to my oestrogen falling on Friday and my lining is borderline.

I honestly can’t thank everyone on here enough for giving me advice, all the support and keeping me calm. It has literally been all that has got me through the last few days. You are all amazing and I will always be grateful!

Can not believe you had a fire alarm 🚨 in the middle of it all 🤣 ya couldn’t make it up! Hopefully it gave ya a giggle.

A freeze all isn’t the worst as I have found out. Gives your body time to recover and I’m finding the medication aspect so less of a stress than before. It’ll also save you heartache as only the best embryos will be frozen 😘

Yeah I’m not too precious about fresh vs frozen transfers. I just feel so privileged to even get to this stage!!

One of the doctors has taken a personal interest in my twisty-turny journey so I’m hoping that helps too.

I have an appointment with her on Thursday as we’ll have a better idea of what route we should go down at that point.

13 eggs is wonderful! I remember thinking how happy I would be to have 6 or more. It only takes one good egg so even if they don’t all come back mature you’ve got such a good number to start with I would really hope that you will have good news tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you xx
