Miscarriage after shock pregnancy

Title says it all! I was shocked to find myself pregnant after 2 cancelled ivf and low ovarian reserves at 41 but alas I have miscarried. I’m assuming it’s because of a rough chromosome again as I’m being treated for killer cells and clotting. I’m now definitely going to use an egg donor as this is now my fourth miscarriage and I can’t go through this again. I’m just so pissed off as I was going to use a donor anyway and didn’t need the highs and lows of a shock natural pregnancy! Sorry to all the ladies who found hope in my story, it doesn’t mean miracles can’t happen but I know for me, as it’s my fourth miscarriage, my route is now donor.

So shocked and sad to hear this. The rollercoaster of this journey truly is awful. You are such a strong lady going through this. Sending you positive thoughts, and glad to hear you have a plan in place for your next "move".

That’s it isn’t it? The rollercoaster is so hard. I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday and just pleased I miscarried earlier rather than later x

Hi there! I am so sorry about your miscarriage. It takes a lot of strength to get through this. It's better to opt for some other treatments. They have a high success rate nowadays. It's a different story for everyone. I tried to conceive for 10 years and after that tried surrogacy. Surrogacy was my way out, even if i got pregnant, i was not able to give birth to a child. Sometimes changing your clinic can also make things better. I just hope next time things work out for you. Please keep us updated. Good luck. Stay blessed! Bye!

That’s really interesting. Would you recommend using a surrogate? X

Hey! How are you doing now? I know how hard it is for you right now. Even one miscarriage can break you from inside out. You had four miscarriages and still not giving up. Trust me, you are an inspiration for all ladies trying out there. You are a very strong woman. You are making the right decision by going for donor. It will increase your chances of conceiving. I just hope this time it's a good news for you. Make sure you take good care of yourself. Everything will be alright. Good luck to you. Bye!

Thanks very much. I agree with you that everything will be alright. I was very very ill a few years ago and thought I would die or my quality of life would be severely impacted. I recovered though and since then nothing has felt as bad! Even infertility. To be honest the rest of my life is lovely so as long as I’m breathing and have food, shelter, love etc I’m ok!!!! X

Hey there! I am so sorry for your loss. I must say, you are a very strong woman. You have been through four miscarriages and still standing. You will motivate a lot of people out there. In my opinion, you should go for surrogacy. It's something that will help you out. I also had 2 failed IVFs and the third one worked out for me. You can try it once again but with donor eggs. Just go for surrogacy if you are tired of taking the risk again. I hope things work out for you next time. My prayers are with you. Good luck. Goodbye!

Thanks so much. Funny I never considered surrogacy as the doctors have been so positive about donor eggs. I guess I will try that first and if it doesn’t work, I will really be taking stock and considering my options (including surrogacy). I agree there’s got to be a limit on what you put yourself through! Congratulations that your third cycle worked! Good to hear of success x
