How soon after failed IVF fresh cycle can i do a FET?

Hi ladies. I had an ET and unfortunately i started bleeding 2 days before OTD. I thought i was out and tested and to my surprise there was a very faint line. Bleeding continued (full AF flow and bright red) but when I tested on OTD the 2nd line was still weak but stronger than 2 days before. Called the clinic and they advised to continue with progesterone suppositories and test again in 2 days (tomorrow). I tested today (bleeding continues) and the test is negative not even the faintest line. 😭 So BFN for me.

I feel i can cry rivers and have to focus on next steps to keep me going.

I have 1 optional day embryo frozen and i want to do a FET.

How long do i have to wait to do FET? Thank you all. 😭

So sorry to hear about your BFN. I think it depends on your clinic and they will likely give you the talk about being emotionally ready to go through it again. I was also very keen to get back in for my FET so I had something to focus on. I had to wait 2 full cycles. So I can request to start treatment when I get my 3rd period.

So I had my follow up appointment immediately and was told when I get my next period to ring and book in for blood tests and a scan, and pick up medication. Then when I get my next period after that I can ring to request to start the treatment.

My advice would be to book your follow up appointment ASAP. Hope that helps xx

Thank you both. I will call the clinic on Monday to book the follow up app. I need to focus on next steps otherwise I'll go mad. My age is against me (i am 36) and i panic because the longer i wait the less chances i have. X

Hi there, sorry to hear about your bfn. I was in the same boat in March 2017. I had a double transfer that failed, but wanted to get back to it with an FET. My clinic only made me wait 1 cycle, so May 2017 I started again. Got my bfp on 1st July 17, and now have a healthy 19mth old and am 28wks pregnant with twins! I never thought in March 2017 i'd ever had 1 child, let alone 3 under 2yrs! Good luck xxx

Thank you oakey80. This is such a lovely happy ending to this rollercoaster. I hope i can do my FET asap. I so much want a baby, all if my life i waited for the right time, and when that came i cannot get pregnant. X

I know exactly what it's like. I spent my 20's trying not to get pregnant, then in my 30's it takes me 5.5yrs!! I ended up having my little boy at 37, and am now just 39 so don't lose hope xx

Exactly. Why did I try so hard not to get pregnant until 34 if it's this hard to get pregnant?!

I have my follow up/debrief app on 19/12 so hopefully will start FET soon after. 🤞
