Progesterone injections better?

Does anyone know if progesterone injections work better than the tablets? Will this increase my chance 🤔❣

You can't count how many times I've gone thru that post. I've my first FET planned for early next year (NHS funded) so gathering all my arsenal for the Medical team 🙈

Hi, I am on Lubion twice a day and on Crinone gels twice a day - it is my pregnancy test day tomorrow, so will find out if the progesterone has had any effect.

Yes the intramuscular injections are the best way to absorb progestrone.you should get your levels tested to make sure you are absorbing enough

I have been given lubion injections only but have heard they are not the best 😔 do you think I can take the pressaries too?

I think you can use a combination of methods. I was using lubion with intermuscular top ups. I've asked for my next round to be just intermuscular. Pesseries never worked for me.

Just to add - I’m using every method available to get my level up. I’m on Utrogest (oral) x 3 a day, lubion (subcutaneous) x 2 a day, Crinone (gel) x3 a day, cyclogest (pessaries) x 3 a day and lentogest (IM injection) x 3 a week. Lubion was added on Wednesday when my 2nd progesterone results came back at 66. I’m back for a blood test on Sunday where they hope to see them closer to 100.

I think the order of effectiveness is IM injections > Crinone/pessaries > lubion > oral tablets. I just take all they offer to get to the right level 🙂.

I'm on both cyclogest 400mg twice a day and a lubion 25mg subcutaneous injection every 2 days for this cycle. I had my levels checked on transfer day and this seems to be good for me. Will your clinic check your levels?xx

Thanks for your reply 🤗 I think they did last time with a blood test (is this how they test?) and they said it was fine but I had a bfn. Ah ok that's good to know maybe I will take both. They want to put me on injections this time as last time I can on my period whilst taking the pressaries and it didnt delay it x

Hi hun. Sorry to butt in but pesseries made me bleed for my first three tries. I was always knew pesseries didn't work for me. Go for the lubion but know that the intermuscular is the good standard. They hurt but at least I know you getting the right dose.

If you were bleeding early then I would think this suggests your levels are not high enough. Ask what they were!xx

What was your progesterone level on transfer day? Mine was 89 on just 1 x Lubion & 2 x cyclogest Pessaries per day so Dr upped it to 2 x Lubion & 4 x cyclogest daily and the p4 hovered between 135-106. Will you recheck it in a week?

My progesterone is fine. Clinics seem to have different levels that they want to see. Mine was 60 which they are happy with. Mine was only 19 on my last BFP which is terrible.xx
